TRUMP CONVICTED

If ya wanna be technical and get the Garland version. He has reasonable grounds for investigation and the first place they look is the newspapers for leads and background. Furthermore, he has reasonable cause to believe Mr. Trump boke federal law in this matter and to haul the principles before a grand jury where they will squeal, because Donald also involved them in other criminal activities and Jack knows about those too.

Jack has enough evidence to obtain a warrant(s) and have Trump and everybody around him wired for sound, down to Trump's golf cart, like another mob boss. He has been obstructing justice on a regular basis and perhaps calling Gym Jordan to talk things over, these people are profoundly arrogant and stupid.

Maybe he is watching the other guy who stole classified documents get swiftly arrested and he will probably be held in custody until trial. He might even be sentenced by the same federal judge as Donald, only Donald committed a worse crime and obstruction of justice on top of it. The poor sap they arrested can at least say he acted on impulse without thinking things through and never deliberately spread it around, etc He will probably plead guilty and ask for mercy from the court. No such luck for Trump and being defiant and belligerent at sentencing and not admitting wrongdoing and showing contrition will be aggravating factors at sentencing or should be.

I've heard Jack is investigating. I haven't heard anything about subpoenas for testimony or warrants to search records. I think Trump is guilty as all hell. He's guilty of sedition, rape, wire and mail fraud among other things. IMO, he's guilty of whatever the hell it is Bragg is charging him for too. The only thing I'm not 100% positive about is that he raped Ivanka but I'm creeped out when I see pictures and quotes from him.

That said, the level of proof required for a good court case is higher than my own personal standard of proof.

But I have only heard that Jack is investigating his solicitations for money under fraudulent conditions. I got stopped once after having two beers. I wasn't drunk but the officer put me through the "stand with feet together and look at this light" test. He was investigating and it was pretty scary but the officer wasn't "going after" me. Right now, that's where it stands with Trump. I passed the test and LEO gave me my DL back. If I had been as drunk as I think Trump is guilty, I'd have staggered and probably fallen during that test. In which case, the officer still wouldn't have "gone after" me, he'd have simply cuffed me and taken me away. I'd still have my day in court with the burden of proof on the prosecutor. Which is what should happen if Jack finds good cause to prosecute Trump for fraud when he lied in order to get people to give him money.

More NY criminal indictments and a lot of money lost could be coming out of this, NY isn't done with indicting Donald by a longshot.

Trump to sit for deposition in high-stakes civil lawsuit threatening the fate of his business empire

Donald Trump on Thursday morning arrived for a deposition as part of a high-stakes civil case brought by New York state against the former president, some of his children and his sprawling business empire.

The lawsuit, brought last September by New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, alleges that Trump, his children Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump, and the Trump Organization were involved in an expansive scheme lasting over a decade by providing false financial statements to lenders and others that the former president used to enrich himself.

The suit is seeking $250 million and bans on the Trumps’ ability to operate a business in the state. The case is set for trial in October. The Trumps have denied wrongdoing.

The former president’s deposition is part of the discovery process of the case, and his attorney said on Thursday that he’s prepared to answer James’ questions – a notable departure from his refusal to respond to questions from her team during a deposition that occurred a month before the suit was filed.

“He remains resolute in his stance that he has nothing to conceal, and he looks forward to educating the attorney general about the immense success of his multi-billion dollar company,” Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, said in a statement.

In a civil case, if a defendant asserts the Fifth Amendment, the jury can make what’s known as an “adverse inference” and place weight against Trump for refusing to answer questions.

Thursday’s appearance will also mark the first time Trump has been back in New York since he pleaded not guilty last week in Manhattan criminal court to 34 charges of falsifying business records following an investigation into hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

After Trump’s first sit-down in August, the former president and his legal team have been able to glean more knowledge about the allegations against him because documents and other materials have been turned over to them.

Trump’s three children named in the case were also deposed by the attorney general’s office last year, with Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr., both providing answers to prosecutors, while Eric Trump invoked his Fifth Amendment right in 2020 in response to more than 500 questions.
i wonder why they feel it necessary to state Jame's political affiliation? Are they implying that it matters? That she isn't impartial? Do they have any proof of that?...CNN has been asking a LOT of leading questions, and making a lot of provocative statements in the guise of news...I'm starting to think they're fox lite....

If this is the defense his lawyer offers on TV over the docs case, it will be a short trial and a long sentence when Jack indicts his ass and no fucking around with threats either or it will be a DC jail until trial.

Trump’s Lawyer has NO DEFENSE in Interviews

56,812 views Apr 13, 2023
Donald Trump’s lawyer Jim Trusty gave some bizarre interviews about his client. MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas reports.
Why is trump's lawyer giving interviews? I would think the walking disease pustule would be busy trying to get an actual defense together, because the usually horseshit ain't gonna work this time. It took forever for the avalanche to start, even if the first wave misses him, which i don't see happening, there are at least three more waves, each bigger than the last...

It's a blitzkrieg. Attack, attack, attack, keep the enemy on the defensive and when a crack in their defense appears, pour on the pressure and keep attacking. It would work on civilians or companies or city governments. Not NY and not the US gov. They are rocks and Trump's team are just the wind to them. Still, though rocks just sit there. Bragg's team is just going to let the wind blow until the first hearing is held in Dec. Trump's team can say what they want. They will file for dismissal using whatever argument they want. Near as I can tell it's all just hot air but they are going to stick to a process that allows time for he defendant to challenge the validity of the case.

Trump sows chaos, which thrives when their opponent is bound to silence. So this is what we'll get for a while. It's going to be a long summer and fall. That is, if we continue to listen to them.

Andrew Weissmann: Special Counsel Jack Smith ‘has a lot of work to do’ in Trump donor case

39,736 views Apr 13, 2023 #Trump #Politics #MSNBC
Former Senior Prosecutor on the Mueller probe and former General Counsel for the FBI Andrew Weissmann joins Andrea Mitchell to react to the Washington Post reporting that Special Counsel Jack Smith is now focusing on fundraising in the final months of the Trump presidency for potential wire fraud charges over alleged false claims to donors. “I think if you look at just the amount of evidence and the various amounts of evidence, because there's so many components to the conspiracy, I do think that this is one where Jack has a lot of work to do,” Weissmann says. “But I don't think putting the case together is something that people like Jack Smith are going to view as hard.”

The retired DOJ folks and talking heads on TV won't be silent and won't be able to keep up with the news and flow of leaks. Like the retired generals on military matters, the retired DOJ alumni are on the case and TV too.

I'm not worried about US listening to him...
While I do not think trump can raise an army, he can incite individuals, and those utterly stupid, naive, ignorant individuals can and very well might do violence in his name.
Judge Merchan's family, Jack Smith's family, Bragg's family, the workers in and around the DA's office...If a single one of them gets assaulted, trump should bear the full responsibility for it.
