Have a look at how many republicans trust the NY times, or the WP, so these people must exist outside the bubble and know the truth but just don't care. These are the evil ones, not the stupid, the stupid don't read the NYT, WP or the Wall Street journal. The stupid ones watch foxnews and OAN.

Chris Hayes: "There is no referee. Fox News and the conservative movement destroyed the conditions for that. So now, it is just a head to head battle of who you like more, who you believe, who you trust more. They trust Donald Trump."

Now that they know Rupert will pay fucking near anything to avoid going to court other lawyers will be thinking in terms of 1/3 of the prize money. However, they might need to choose their clients with care if they want the money and not justice, some who sue foxnews won't settle for less than a trial and payday will be a long way away, but should be bigger, if they want to make an investment in the future. I remember when Texico got sued out of existence, they delayed, but payday came, and they went under.

I know it would cause a lot of trouble around the world, but i hope that mccarthy pushes us into default for a couple of days, at least, maybe a week...It would be a death blow to his career, and a crippling, maiming blow to the party. they have to cheat to hold onto their gerrymandered majorities now, what will "the party of fiscal responsibility" do when they crash the world economy, even slightly?

They always go to that stunt and it never ends up positively for them. I don't get why they keep doing it. There isn't an upside to it.

If America defaulted because of these clowns, the earth would fall upon them and there would be no place to hide. Foxnews couldn't lie enough, and neither could they, it would cost America a fortune in interest rates as the country's credit rating went into the toilet. It would be like shooting yourself in the nuts and the base doesn't give a fuck, they hate America, why else would they vomit up such assholes, out of love of country? When your rep fucks up constantly and takes Russia's side, yet can do no wrong in your eyes, you are not a patriot, you are something else entirely.

Lawrence: Rupert Murdoch’s ‘stupidity’ gave Dominion a huge win

MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell breaks down exactly why Fox's landmark $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems was a victory for Dominion and democracy, and a massive loss for Fox, amid complaints that a trial would've better served public interest.

No fine should be written off taxes as a business expense, it's fine, not a cost of doing business, unless the business was illegal. Can you write off a speeding ticket on your taxes? Same thing here, no difference, it was not a business loss and if the law needs to be changed it should, the government is rewarding illegal behavior. If a company pollutes and pays the fine to continue to pollute, it should not get to write the expense off on its taxes.

It's nothing but bennies for FNN. They made billions lying, and only paid 100 of millions
for doing so. I'll take that kinda ROI any day, who wouldn't? I dunno how Lindell's gonna
make out tho. Probly he'll be okay, cuz his "base", aka, clientele is all wrong-headed, right-wing nutbags.
But they gotta have a place to lay their guilty heads at night.

My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell ordered to pay $5M over debunked 2020 election data
My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, an ally of former President Trump who has aggressively pushed baseless 2020 election denial theories, has been ordered to pay $5 million to a software developer who debunked Lindell’s data about the election.

Lindell, who promised to pay the $5 million award to anyone who could debunk his data that purportedly proved election fraud, was ordered to pay the sum by a private arbitrator, who ruled that Robert Zeidman, a software expert, successfully disproved Lindell’s claims, in a decision first reported by CNN.

The ruling from the arbitrator said that Lindell repeatedly claimed to have data that he said was captured during the 2020 election and proved that China interfered in the contest. He repeatedly made the claim in public appearances and TV guest-spots.

Lindell then launched the “Prove Mike Wrong Challenge,” offering $5 million to anyone who could prove that the data was not valid. Zeidman entered the contest, submitting a report that concluded the data did not include information from the 2020 election. When Lindell’s team said Zeidman did not win the contest, he filed the arbitration.

“Based on the foregoing analysis, Mr. Zeidman performed under the contract,” the ruling said. “He proved the data Lindell LLC provided, and represented reflected information from the November 2020 election, unequivocally did not reflect November 2020 election data. Failure to pay Mr. Zeidman the $5 million prized was a breach of the contract, entitling him to recover.”

The arbitrator ruled that the money must be paid within 30 days of the decision.

Lindell blasted the arbitration decision.
“It was a horrible decision, and it is all going to end up in court,” he told The Hill, reiterating his desire to get rid of electronic voting machines.

Lindell has been a vocal election denier and launched an unsuccessful campaign to be the next head of the Republican National Committee earlier this year.

He, he, he...
