Tucker Carlson out at Fux News

Well, remember how the christian right were running all over saying homosexuality is
an abomination to God? Then the retort to that was to hate the act and not the actor. That way
you can love the gay people, but just hate what they do, thus following God's commandment
to love one another. That's just an example, but i like it. Too busy to hate, always time for love
for everybody. One thing about it is, how do you know how Tucker or some other ahole came
about their aberrant, abhorrent behavior? I mean if you dig, u might find out something horrible
happened in their lives to make them that way, and you almost feel badly for hating them so much.
So just operate on love for everybody, all the time, why the fuck not? What good's hating ppl do you?
It's always better to love than to hate. Hate eats u up from inside, love is beneficial to everybody, plus u.
I dunno, i mean i'm as guilty of hating as anybody, so i'm not preaching, i'm just trying to find the rationale
for love and no hate, and i think it's there. Hate's negative, love's positive. Live a positive, loving life.
Hating what gay people do but still loving the person sounds like a cop out to me. Besides, the Christian right god damn well do hate on gay people. Just looking at the violence they foster and direct toward them I'd say that you are confused about what the Christian right are doing.

To stop hating Tucker, I would have to forgive him. Forgiveness is my right to give or withhold. Until Tucker demonstrates a change in his own behavior and owns up to the harm he's caused, then no forgiveness and I hate that fucker.

And love the man? That would require much more than contrition. He'd have to do some great things to make up for what he's done before I could do that. Christians don't and have never as a group "turned the other cheek". That's what they tell children as a part of their brainwashing program. And they most certainly are filled with hatred toward anybody who challenges their beliefs.

the surprising thing is, No. That is an artifact of bad translation and worse church doctrine.

the religious right embrace that bad translation and doctrine, and make it their own. I realize they are far from real christians, but at least 75% of the people in this country would tell you the bible says that its a sin for two men to lay together.
I know that isn't what it says, or means, but i'm not the one claiming it's gospel, mostly white conservatives with a hard right attitude are, even though these self proclaimed christians have little to no knowledge of what the book actually says, or what it means.

One can disapprove without "hating"
some can, some have the ability to do either, depending on the circumstance.
All disapproval is, is very mild hate...If things are a matter of degree, disapproval is a .5 on a scale of 1-10, and hate is at least an 8.
In between you have dislike, distaste, dismay, irritation, disgust, revulsion, and anger.
aren't we judgy monkies?

I don't understand what you said. I said the Christian right god damn well do hate on gay people.

Did you just say they don't and I simply confuse when they condemn them to hell, hound them on earth and look the other way when a gay person is beaten to death with hate when they are just showing their love for gay men and women?

Nobody does hate as well as Christians.
