Decided to main line my plants.

Running 5 feminized ice cream cakes. I Wanted an even canopy this time, so I've decided to main line my five plants I have going. I realize veg time will be longer, But that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

I've chopped all the extra growth off, and topped them. Left fan leaves and the two top bud site branches. Which from the YouTube vids I watched seems the right way to do it. Hoping those two little branches explode now that they have all the energy. It was kind of sad to chop all that off but they look like little palm trees now and I know they are headed in a good direction.

And yes they got their first heavy watering yesterday plus the stress of loosing half their branches, they are abit droopy. I also put a picture of my last plant, I let it go all natural.

Instead of clipping the tip I just bend mine down after 4-6 nodes and it doesn't take as much time to recover

In order to be a true mainline it needs to be topped so it has even nutrients going through each branch. Something like this. I'm looking for really even bud growth this time. I'm not too concerned about the veg time as I'm looking to stall it out hoping to get a carbon filter and one more 200w light by flower

Yep. Totally educated on mainlining. Just a waste of time for me.
Mainlining and manifolding. Basically the same thing. Manifolding wastes less time.
Getting even size branches happens with both methods.
These were manifolded and then spaced in a trellis net. Took 2 weeks

Damm dude. So I'm alittle confused by what you mean but would love to learn as you have a beautiful canopy. you don't top the plant you just bend down the main stalk? That cause three points of growth from the top spot? And you cut all the bottom growth or just keep bending and let everything catch up? Do you get even nug size throughout flower because some branches are higher on the stalk getting different nutrients? Sorry I'm still pretty new to this. This is my third grow and first in a big tent.

This is how I do:
Clone -- let the plant root and start growing. Once you see it's in full grow mode and it's got 4-6 nodes bend it horizontal. Let it turn back up to the light and continue to push down the highest growth. That'll cause the side shoots to start coming up. Bend those down and keep all the branches even. Now all your branches are coming off the main stalk just as they would in a mainline. At this point you can choose to snip the top and get 2 growing tips off the top or leave it and just have one (if just one you'll have to manipulate the bigger top and cut off the lower junk and keep forcing it down until everyone catches up) Then let all the branches start growing up and bend them as needed. Takes a bit of practice to get a full on even canopy and sometimes I'm in a rush so I'll get mostly all the same nugs maybe some a bit smaller. I always lollipop the bottoms and focus on the tops only. I'll try to grab a photo underneath the canopy too
If you want more tips, you can snip each branch and make 2 tops off each as well or leave it longer and bend at 8nodes etc...
It's not that they're getting more or less nutrients. It's more the like the path is bigger and better, and the key is having all the branches the same size. If you snip, you must snip all branches the same day, or they will be diff sizes.
