Ok i have a VIVOSUN 48”x24”x60” and like any grow tent, it has a 3 sided door/flap with a zipper that can zip from opposite side and you can meet the zipper were ever you need for example i meet mine up at the right corner were i have my air hoses and cord for my fans. Anyways my question is for half of its 12 hours of darkness i had the bottom zipper, zipped up and the top zipper i had zipped the top and 1/4 of the way down. So basically there was 20 inches upzipped basically is want opened up just unzipped and were the grow light for my plant in veg was on but not point in to the tent but im sure it wasn’t pitch dark but that’s nights with hole moons that wood be brighter then the light that got in.. do you think this will fuck the plants in my budding tent?

I'm sure things will be OK. Don't make that mistake again. Also if your tent is new er, pinholes aren't much of a concern. But the older a tent gets, the more likely pinholes are to develop and if you frequently tend to your VEG grow, then yes your flowering plants very likely can become exposed to an interruption of their dark cycle. If it happens enough you'll either throw naners on ylthe flowering plants and/or start to reVeg

Light leaks create herms, maybe if just once infected by light leaks, you might be alright, but continued exposure will fuck your plant. Moonlight is not strong enough to do it.

As long as the light is low energy and isn’t directly hitting the plants you should be fine. I have never had a light related hermi and I’ve never seen someone else actually have one that wasn’t related to direct useable(strong enough for photosynthesis) light hitting the plants.

I ran my last grow room with the bottom of the door left open for months at a time when the weather would change. The room was easily bright enough to see in with the light reflecting slightly off the concrete floor. There wasn’t any useable light hitting the actual plants, but it felt like a moon lit night in the flower room.
