RH sky-rocketing during flower

The RH in my tent has been the same as ambient through veg-phase, and I just flipped to flower very recently. My room is at 40%, same as outdoors(windows open), but the tent is now 60% with the extractor running at max speed for the past week. Does the rate of transpiration increase drastically in flower?
I'm wondering if my sensor is cracked, or something else. A bit confused, didn't expect this to happen :confused:

Yeah you usually have more moisture being released during the flowering phase. 60% is fine though for bloom, You don't need it at 40%.

I'm afraid of mold/rot, got a bunch of leaves touching one another. I guess I'll have to give it a solid pruning.

60%? That's what I get on a good day when it's not raining.
Do you have an air conditioner? My AC helps keep temps down, and also lowers my RH.
On another note.. I've had night time spikes of 70% RH when it's too cold out for the AC to kick on.. haven't run into any issues. I like to think good air flow is what I have to thank for that.
Cleaning up the bottom of the plant(s) helps with air flow. So will some minor defoliation to prevent leaves overlapping. Once moisture builds between the touching leaves.. it's easy for it to turn into powdery mildew.

I have an A/C and a dehumidifier. It rains a lot here.

Run the AC on low, also run the dehu outside of the tent. Be aware that if there are buckets of water in the same room.. cups of water.. this adds moisture to the air. Keeping those things around will only have the dehumidifier working harder. Keep all the windows closed up as well to keep humidity from outside coming in. Doors closing the room off help a lot. Makes the equipment work on that room only.

Transpiration is directly proportional to the amount of water you put through your plants (ie water with). That's why when/if you close your room you calculate the size of your dehumidifier off the number of pints you put through the pots plus an upsize factor for what the general, environmental humidity is.

That also explains the correlation between plant size and increased humidity.
