Was it the only way to drop the tree? Probably better than on the gate....or house. Maybe ask them for help getting to the bins before war breaks out.My neighbors knocked a tree down and left it blocking my gate so I can't roll my trash bins out of my yard. I heard the chainsaw, but I didn't sit around like a loon to yell at them. Shoulda....
Guess this is war. Unfortunate, I am so weary.

That totally sucks. I hope it's a short conflict.
If anyone in our community fells a tree, the bylaws state that it has to be sliced and the pieces moved as to prevent anything from blocking any roadway or forest trails.

No, they could have knocked it down onto their property without hitting anything. If they are so inconsiderate as to not even knock on my door and apologize, and give me a time frame of when I can use my gate the day before garbage day, nor consider the large open spot on their lot that it could have fallen into, they aren't worth being nice to. My dogs have a walking path past their outdoor slippers. My dogs can pee on command...

Well sometimes the tree needs to go a certain way because of lean. But yeah they definitely should have given warning and made your inconvenience the priority.

Oh I slept so good, and for 10+ hours! 19,500 steps on the Fitbit by bedtime.
Truck is all loaded and ready for the landfill, and I am hoping to pick up a Earth Machine Compost Bin....They have them at the landfill for $45 as some kind of promotion. Figured it would be perfect for my outdoor raised beds.
Long Memorial Day weekend...Housemate took today off to make it a 4 day weekend. I plan on putting him to work today, little does he know. He'll wish he went to work!!
