That's my homemade irrigation system, I'll be doing DTW. I've only fired it up to test so far. I'm planning on getting it running this weekend. I've only used automated watering systems for coco, but generally you don't want to let the coco dry out like you do with soil. In flower you're probably going to need to water twice a day.It's pretty. BUT now that I am about to become a cocohead, I have questions!!
What's the thingy on the left with all the hoses? Do you do a flood and drain setup?
I do have a nice tray like that, from my aero setup.
I have been reading up on coco a bit...I see some people water 4 x a day.
I also am having a hard time grasping small pots being better, but everything points to that!!

Quick question for you how do you control the flow rate is that in the head of the deal?
There is a screw at each port that you can dial the flow rate. There is also a screw to manage the flow rate for the entire manifold. With my pump it it will fill 9 cups to 750ml in a minute. I have to play around with it to figure out the timing for 500ml
I almost bought an overpriced manifold system. @curious2garden convinced me to build a system. She was right, this cost me less than $100 CAD.Very cool thanks for that
I'm so nervous about firing this all up. I got so comfortable in my old setup... nothing was unknown and I could predict how the environment would be. This is just like starting over.That awesome saving money and making it look good while doing it
