Here's the plastic tub I have and I had a few nursery pots, 1.75 gallon they say. Soooo, I could get 10 pots this size. I had thought of maybe doing a flood setup.....or something.
I was and am leery of doing it in my house though, but I think it's fairly safe....so long as I don't have a huge res.
Because hand watering twice a day is a scary thought!!

They're too unpredictable. I couldn't control how much water each pot was getting to any degree of confidence. And the random floods drove me insane. I gave it two years, seven grows and I was still having problems. It's a good system but I just wanted something more consistent and reliable.

That was my findings with them too, but with less use. I set them up this time for going on vacation, but yeah, it is either too much or too littler water.
I have another set I bought and never used....
Off to rummage...

I think @lokie has the right idea. Hand feed and just use them for supplemental watering.

I have not experienced flood issues that others have.
Only one plant, in the years I have used them, has died because of the lack of water and that was partly my own doing, the feeder tube for it got crimped, and it was way in the back and I missed the issues for too long.
I love the bluemats and stick by it for my own needs, it works as designed.

Now I picture you opening the pantry and seeing row after row of shelves and everything is labeled 'my jam'. I may be very high' however.
I worked in the sun all day then took a cool shower with a cold beer nearby. Bratwurst, baked beans and cole slaw await, to be followed by sleepless tossing and turning. Good Memorial Day to all who observe.

I was thinking my ATV after I slide them onto a tarp, then drag the tarp. They only have to go about 30-40'
Italian sausage, Chicken spiedies, and home made tater & egg salad...BUT I need bread. Haha, no I don't. Just pulled a loaf from the freezer!
A green pepper would be nice, but unless one falls from Heaven, I'm good.
