Gelato strain under 2 hlg 135s
Promix potting mix and added perlite
6 gallon octopot
Amended the soil in the beginning with Dr earth's 444 organics.
80 degrees/73 degrees average
50% humidity
Ph 6.5 in reservoir

I just added nutrients to the water reservoir.
About 300 ppm now.

Is she hungry lightnstressed calmag issues
Or any other opinions?

I'm confused....

Ph of the reservoir is 6.5
Are you saying the ph of the soil is off?


She just started turning light green. Is it possible she used up all the avaliable nutrients in the soil?

You said liquid, I assumed synthetic? If it’s organics, no salt, should not be an issue. Some organic products like seaweed extract, will contain high amounts of sodium, but need to be used pretty heavily to see these types of results. My suggestion would be back off on the nutrients.

So when would you feed it.
It's had one feeding 2 months ago
Wouldn't it need more nutrients by now?

It seems to look better already. Since it's feeding yesterday.

OK so explain to me exactly how you’re growing you say reservoir but I see soil? Are you using like an auto pot system? Can you give me more information to help you determine what’s going on? I have limited information here.
When you said you’ve only fed a few times, is that an entire reservoir so it’s had a weeks worth of nutrients? Or have you only fed the soil a couple times?

If you have only fed the soil, I’m gonna stand by what I said and go with PH issues. Water to runoff get ppm, and PH numbers.

It's in an Octopot
I put 4-4-4 organics in the soil when I planted the seed.
It's been living off of the original initial soil for 2 months.

This gelato strain has always been a dark green
It started yellowing about a week ago.

There is a 6 gallon reservoir under the soil sleeve.

Those roots have been feeding off of plain PhD water up until yesterday.

If you Google Octopot it may help if you have never seen them

Also you don't top water an octopot. It pulls from the water underneath.

With no other obvious signs, I’d say it’s hungry. If the only nutes it has been given was the 4-4-4 two months ago, it’s overdo for a feeding.
I’m not familiar w/ the Octopots, so forgive me.
Anyway, it seems like you’ve already added nutes to the water, so they should perk up in no time.

You have deficiencies from lack of nutrients, sorry it’s much more common to see problems from lockout, ph and toxicity so I always start troubleshooting there.

Isn't ProMix in fact peat?? I think that's the issue, you're treating a peat based medium like it's soil, perhaps? Not a bad way to grow nor is it "wrong" but I just think the plant is having a slight reaction to how you're growing it.

Overall, the plant looks REALLY nice. Don't beat yourself up over a couple spotted leaves, especially on such a large plant. Prune it back a bit, as long as the spotted leaves aren't widespread throughout the plant, I literally wouldn't even worry about it.

Promix is not the problem. The dry back pattern shows severe underwatering is one of them. You need to water All of your medium and then allow it to dry back and repeat.
