Another beautiful day. The first day of summer, and our summer solstice.

I ran out of steam last night, but will be moving the girls into their new home shortly. I did plug the new light in for a minute to make sure it is working, and OMG is it bright. I can't even imagine how bright it will be in that tent!!

I guess that's the idea!!

I went out this morning even though there's a 1030 shotgun Ladies member guest tournament. I played the first and walked home. The course was perfectly groomed and I didn't want to leave a single pitchmark or divot. I always want guests to have the best impression of our course. Also way hot again today. Going to spend the day watering plants indoors and out

Would love to have said struggles. I am assuming that you often break 80?
I am in decline but I played to a 4 handicap right until I reached 60. Now I'm a 7 but I've played way less the last few years. 10 years ago I played 100 rounds a year at.home and on a senior circuit traveling around the state. I kind of wish I could have some of that time back lol. Most of my golf now is solo by choice or with my wife. I taught her golf and she's long and straight and goes about her business.

@Herb & Suds - have you ever played the Sheppard's Hollow/Pine Trace/Cherry Creek courses around Auburn Hills? I checked them out a few years ago and they periodically send me "C'mon and play in Michigan" teasers.

Just wondering if those tracks are worth the ~5 hour trek for us to tee it up in Auburn Hills instead of Niagara Falls for 2024.

So many great courses in this state
Auburn hills wouldn't make my top ten
Immaculate yes but value not really

That's what I was looking for. One of the Niagara guys was looking for something close to the Motor City Casino - he plays the cards - which is why he originally checked out Auburn Hills.

And that 5+ hour drive is the time while the car is moving. That doesn't account for those long weekday lines waiting at the Detroit/Windsor crossing.

A friend insisted on teaching me to play golf as a young man....But he insisted walking was the best way to learn. After about a half dozen games, I decided mini golf was more my speed.

The BC Open is happening here right now.
