TRUMP CONVICTED

Yeah. His rallies are crying about how he didn't do anything wrong and never says a word about what he'd do if elected. At least in 2016 he made a bunch of promises. The odd part is he kept next to zero of those promises and his cult forgets about the fact he had his shot and looked like a monkey fucking a football for 4 years.
Reds will always vote red no matter who is on the ticket, but like you said he's not attracting anyone new and certainly not independents.
He touches in it at his rallies. Maybe he didn't even write the policies listed on his website as "Agenda 47" but he's promising a whopping big set of deliverables this time around. Much more than "build a wall and make Mexico pay for it".

From unleashing a fleet of flying cars to executing drug dealers, Donald Trump has not been coy about his unorthodox vision for America as he seeks to retake the White House.

The former president and frontrunning Republican candidate for 2024 -- sometimes accused of lacking a clear political philosophy -- has explained in speeches and a series of "Agenda 47" policy videos how he would govern.

Often thin on detail, the eye-catching pronouncements form the backbone of a platform that Trump says will "make America great and glorious again."

Critics say it spells out why he should never be allowed to return to the Oval Office as the country's 47th president.

One of Trump's more striking proposals is a competition to design up to 10 state-of-the-art "freedom cities" -- roughly the size of Washington -- on federal land.

Built around cutting-edge "hives of industry" brimming with factories, these innovation hubs would represent a "quantum leap in the American standard of living."

Trump envisages commuters darting about in flying cars in an echo of "The Jetsons," the space-age 1960s cartoon about a family living in an automated, push-button future.

It goes on and on. A breathtaking disconnect from reality. Worth a read if you are interested. I never heard about it until I stumbled on it in a google search for something else. Barrons isn't making it up. Trump's campaign website discusses it too but in less readable format:

"dividing their vote is the best shot you have"

umm, no

Staying unified is the best shot Democrats have. There are so many reasons to vote Republicans out. Unify aroung Biden and Bidenomics in '24. I'd prefer a more socially progressive agenda from Democrats but I think now is not the time to push for it. Hand a major loss to Republicans one more time in '24 and then check to political temperature. I think '24 will be Trumpism's last stand and after 8 straight years in a row of losing elections, Republicans will shred their own party. If so, I think '26 is when Democrats can start deciding the details Medicare for all and better gun regulations. We showed in 2021 how much Democrats can do when the enemy is at bay.
Almost half the public doesn't appear to want good responsible government and are not acting on facts and reason, and it seems never will. The democrats don't need to do anything but watch the republicans destroy themselves with Trump's help. They have their policy act together and know where they stand united on key issues, the state republicans appear to be helping them the most though with anti-democratic and laws, going after LBGTQ and women's rights. Trump in the field helps to motivate the democratic vote too and his mounting legal issues are not helping his chances in the primary or general election.

You want as big a democratic majority as you can get, especially in the senate and of course you also need Biden to win. Solid policy and division on the right could see this happen in 24. If Trump loses the GOP primary, he will run as an independent even from a cell and he will endorse independent candidates from his cell too. If he wins the GOP primary before he is convicted, then he will be incarcerated upon conviction, perhaps before the election. They are only trying Trump and Nauta for the MAL docs and obstruction, a simple quick case with few complications estimated to take between 3 to 6 weeks.

If only presidential elections were decided by majority vote. What a concept.

A record number of eligible voters turned out in 2020. Biden won by over 7 million votes. I'm going to go out on a limb and say a lot of them that ordinarily don't vote, did so in 2020 just to vote against Dumeld Lump. They'll be out again and I don't imagine any of them voting for the orange stool in 2024.

This is as close as they've got, aside from a recent announcement, this will fly for 20 to 30 minutes and if battery power triples or more in a few years then it would be like an ariel motorcycle able to go cross country for many miles with a 1- or two-hour endurance. Put little wheels on it and you could land in the back of the parking lot and wheel it to the quick charger, then back to take off position.

The problem though, is a possible "Jill Stein scenario" where too many of those votes are spread across two or more candidates, allowing Lump to pull in the 'W'

It flies but has no real car attributes.

More motorcycle, but it shows how hard a flying car is to make, all such contraptions depend on battery technology improvements, the more the batteries improve the more their practicality improves. All the other technological pieces are in place for electric propulsion and aviation, we just need the batteries.

No, not motorcycle either. It needs to credibly beat, say, a 50cc utility bike on one lap of the Nürburgring in powered ground mode.

It’s my basic gripe with flying cars. I haven’t seen one yet that is ok in car mode.

A proper flying car will have four doors, seat five, fit in a downtown parking space and beat a stock 4-cyl Camry around the ‘Ring in car mode

What does this have to do with Trump being indicted?

JK.

But really though, what you point out is obvious and a way for Trump to win.

Even if he's convicted of federal crimes, Trump can win. We have year and a half before the election. A lot of things can go Trump's way, any number of them can tip it. It's up to Biden to win it. It's not in the bag. Not by a long shot.

Accepting the chance to lose is fundamental to democracy and the fact that they will only accept elections if they win is fascist, in opposition to democracy..

Stein did more damage to Hillary with her talk than take away votes, in my opinion. Gary Johnson did a lot better, but they were mostly from disgusted Republicans. Joe is not Hillary and better liked. He isn't my first choice (again), but you play the cards you're dealt. Hey, take it from Miz Lindsey.

that was a little surreal...like watching a rabid rat almost become a human being for a few moments.

Trump 's dangerous posts continue unabated; Jack Smith's prosecutors now being threatened/harassed

21,715 views Jul 7, 2023 #TeamJustice
Donald Trump continues to prove he is an extreme danger to the community and to our democracy. As he stands indicted for dozens of crimes, both state and federal, he continues to post dangerous, desperate and inflammatory things about Special Counsel Jack Smith, including how he should be "put out to rest."

In his daily, sometimes hourly, rants, Trump also incessantly - and inanely - continues to assert that prosecuting him for his crimes constitutes "election interference." This video discusses why Trump is absolutely wrong in that regard.

Slap a gag order on the cocksucker, and everytime he breaks it, seize ten million of his assets...that's just about the only thing i can think of that would shut him the fuck up.

Jail works too and with enough rope...
that would leave his entire "crew" free to cause a lot of problems, wherever you put him in jail would be surrounded by magats in a day or two, and they're fucking stupid, so there would be trouble, without a doubt. I think it would be a lot more effective to make it too expensive for him to run his mouth, he hates spending a dollar on anything not gold plated.

I'm really waiting to see who is named as co-conspirators in the Jan 6th case...with any luck at all, most of the freedumb carcass will be going away with trump, and the republican party will have no other choice than to get some fresh blood...and fresh blood usually looses against seasoned candidates. It could be decades before the party would be a serious threat again, and if the democrats have a lick of sense, they'll spend that time making it much harder for that to happen.
