I knocked down a catbird nest trimming shrubs a few days ago. There were 2 babies and an angry parent. I wedged the nest back into the brush and the parents resumed feeding them. Now, a few days later, one is hopping from branch to branch waiting to be fed, which mom is happy to do. No sign of the other one, sadly.

Just got rolling in Mo. this year and already got more seeds than I could use in a couple years.
So why did I get another pack last week? I see another bad habit forming....

People do get caught up in seed hype and hoarding lol. At first, you think you can quit at any time, but then, no, they get their hooks in you!
I think I've broken the habit. Have only bought seeds once in the past year, and it was planned for a few months. But I do WANT to buy some. O.O

I just eliminated the regulars from the hoard. Females only hoard now.
Mine is the same. About 90 percent fems. But I wanna do a reg run to have something that is self sustaining should some kind of internet order delaying pandemic or other nonsense happen. Not that such is likely or possible. O.O *knocks on several varieties of wood*

It's been nice weather here. They call for rain almost every day, but we get little or none. Yet severe flooding 100 miles away.
I have to run to the pharmacy, then maybe either a car show, or the town fair on this fine Saturday.....Or something. Bike/walk. Lots of toking whatever it is

We tried a new chicken recipe last night and it was so good. Honey ginger chicken thighs baked in the oven. Man it was tasty. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday.
