The former, but I do have to lift the strainer out of the jar and set it aside if it is the first foray into that particular brew. Takes maybe 5 seconds to do, though.
This will change your life. My brother makes cold brew and I told him about this. He was like, meh. Then I brought mine to Florida when I visited him for my iced tea and he had one delivered like 2 days later. Haha

I already have a strainer, do you drink it out of the mason jar with this? That's kinda neat

No. It's just to make the jar into a pitcher. I don't drink coffee of any sort, but I believe he makes the cold brew, strains it, removes the strainer, puts the pit her lid on and then just pours coffee whenever he needs it. Or he may have a separate strainer jar and pour jar so he has a perpetual cold brew situation going on.

I haven't had a credit card in years so to improve my credit score I applied with Discover. They denied me because I don't have any credit cards. I don't understand that one. I guess I have to start out with some sort of baby credit card.
i haven't had a CC in years.....never really understood the reasoning to get another after that.....after i paid all mine off and cut them up

Yes she is. We have been married for a touch over 40 years and we have done and seen a shitload of stuff in that time. And it feels like we were just married yesterday as opposed to back in 1983.

I can't wait for this crop to come to fruition so I can make her the Everclear tincture she wants. She loves the feeling of the weed high but she is not a smoker. Edibles work but like everyone else, they take a little too long to hit. So we've already got the booze - now we just need the buds.

BTW - anyone have any good tincture recipes using Everclear?
I just made some. Decarb at 230 degrees for 40 minutes. Freeze ground decarbed bud and 190 proof everclear overnight. Combine and shake vigorously for a few minutes, put it back in the freezer to soak for an hour. Strain through paper coffee filter. I do 2 washes this way and then evaporate it to a third of its original volume. I used to just soak it for 15 minutes but this last batch I forgot about it and ended up soaking it for an hour. I was worried about the taste but it was fine and it is more potent than the 15 minute variety. I had read that at 0 degrees the alcohol won't bond to the chlorophyll and other undesirables and I would agree. Put a piece of cheesecloth over the one jar so you don't get a bunch of junk in the coffee filter jar. I also strain it through a coffee filter twice which gives me a nice amber tincture free of particulates.

... I do a full 750 ml bottle of 90%*, and then shake it up with 4-6 ounces of decarb. Both frozen overnight separately first. Shake like a madman, and strain! ...
That sounds easy enough.

There's no need to let it sit or steep or anything like that? Once you shake shake shake ( horns please ... ) shake shake shake ( horns again please ... ) shake that booty, you are good to go?

3 to 5 drops of that concoction under the tongue does the trick?

A shorter shake time is a smoother taste! As long as the material gets saturated, should work. Shake shake, shake the booty, strain, and enjoy.
And yes a few drops is sufficient for a lower tolerance person. But I will advise to mix those drops with a few ml of water. The high alcohol content can BURN the under tongue area

Do.you all recommend prefreezing the everclear before freezing it with the decarb?

Thanks to both @laddyd and @Rsawr ... great info and tips for tinctures. I'll give those a try.

The indoor girls went to flower 8 days ago. ~70 more days for them to finish flower, 9 days to hang them dry and 56 more days to cure. I always slow cure my weed for at least 2 months.

The outdoor girls should show signs of flowering in about 2 to 3 weeks.

OH NEAT ... we are heading out for CHICKEN WINGS now.

I had never used credit before I got a house, and I rarely use it today. But it is nice to be able to ask a random company to spot you some bucks to use in emergency only, while you wait for your insurance to puff up and actually pay

But why are they denying you, that sucks! Sorry you have to deal with that.
