It's 85 in the house right now. I'm carrying my winter weight even though it's summer and at 280 pounds I'm realizing why I usually slim down for this heat. I'm sweating bacon grease which I don't think is good. Tomorrow is more of the same with 98 for the high and a real feel of 112. If we can just get through the next day or two it drops into the 80s again which should feel wonderful after this crap.

I'm hiding in my room with the portable AC cranking, AND the central air going (my room is a spooky airflow dead zone and I didn't wanna pay for new ducting, and walls) Unfortunately I chose a spicy dinner, so I am sweating my eyeballs off regardless

I feel you on that here is hoping maybe the Sun will drop down sooner rather than later

They wanted 7K for a new central AC installed. My house is tiny, like 1200 square feet of cabin tiny, so I figured we'd do okay with a portable AC. It works great until it gets up in the low to mid 90s which is rare in the mountains but becoming more common lately. I survived 118 in full battle gear in the Mohave Desert so it just bothers me to see my wife uncomfortable. I was going to get an extra window unit but this heat wave ends in 2 days so we'll just suck it up and drive on.

I spent about that to replace my central AC, not an option to go without one around here.

I should have put the other ac in, in the living room in. It's a big one.....it was my grandfather's.......it makes it cold in here. But kills the electric. So I thought it'd be fine with the one....and it was mostly. But the last couple days man I wish I did put it in. Should cool off this next week.
