Jack's fans and Maxibloomers are definitely adjacent affinity groups. Usually big fans of the KISS method, too!

I agree with you about the grow forum. I know who to ask about most things and they're all right here. Nobody needs 5 conflicting answers from noobs and grouches! I said it last week: This Is The Place!

I just checked where i bought my EC meter in 2020....It is on the 500 range. But that doesn't mean it's accurate I suppose. It IS a Vivosun -$10 model.

Bluelabs... more expensive but you only have to buy it once.

Bluelab is nice. You can change the ppm scale to your liking and they are easy to calibrate.

Edit to say, nope, it's an Apera and I love IT.

Although someone said the cheap EC meters work fine, it's juts the cheap PH pens that don't....

The one I currently use is super cheap, but I upgraded to a maybe 15 dollar one that can swap between scales. It seems pretty consistent, but I don't know about accurate...

When I first started growing I bought the $15 noname meters ph and ec. The ec died not long after and someone here recommended the kit so I got the PH as well. More than four years of use and still going.

I'm over them. I recently got an apera and it's faster, nicer, and cheaper than the bluelab. On top of that, the probe can be replaced when needed.

As far as the ec meter, I use a Hanna that has both ec scales and 500 and 700 ppm scales. I think it was in the neighborhood of $30 or so.

Also, if your meter will not calibrate, then you can't definitively say that your mix is low. It may be, but it may also be your meter is throwing wonky readings.

Yeah, it has a waterproof stamp on the front, just like my version. You're good.

I love my Bluelab but that being said I got more than a decade off a cheapo I bought from ebay (Milwaukee knock off).

I'm sure you'll get this dialed just takes some fiddling and your good at growing.

There ya go! I'd definitely change up my nutrients. But I'm kind of a mediocre grower that is more lazy LOL although I've tried a few others I keep coming back to GH Flora Trio since that was all that was available in '96 when I began so I don't even have to think and that is how I like it. Oh and back then I used a Sp. Gravity bulb for EC

It worked out and my weed today looks no shittier than then. Give it a go.
