Started a bit late so mine are pretty small. This year I'm growing 2 Jalapenos, Fresno, Habanero, Italia sweet long, and a new addition. Habanero is from the second plants seeds that was planted from an original from Stupidstore. This one popped pretty quick but stalled as per usual. It's the first one in the pic.
Saw a Carolina Reaper at Lowe's when I was there, so here's the new addition. That's a tomato seedling in the bucket beside it.

I have peppers on everything but the hab'ish. (they are always slow, but I just got the first of them in the ground this week. A tiny four inch plant)
Cayenne.
Cousin D's company has finally left, which means she came and picked the plants she wanted, and I was free to plant the rest. These ten were all a couple weeks past prime, but what can you do about family?

I can't help other than saying that there have been all sorts of mixup on seeds and starts this year. I'm not sure how true it is, but I saw that one of the major seed suppliers out of China had something happen and all sorts of seeds were mislabeled and as you can imagine, it has wreaked havoc in gardens worldwide. Once again, I have not looked into it, just seen it posted in a couple gardening groups. You can search # peppergate2023. Lol

I planted three kinds of unknown pepper seeds this year. UKP#1 was Jalapeno. UKP#2 and #3 were both these.
Sister thinks they may be cowhorn peppers but I've never grown them before. Here are some next to a Cayenne. A possible cross? If anyone knows what they are, chime in. (I haven't tasted one yet, but I assume they are hot)

I agree but serranos have always maxed out at 4 inches or so, for me anyway. I'm guessing they are Aji peppers. They have a nice heat anyway and turning out to be prolific. They'll be great in my hot sauce.

Aji is Spanish for chile pepper. There are numerous "aji" peppers from chinense/baccatum/some rocoto (pubescens) but not that many others. Tons of baccatum but that pic dont look like any ive grown. Looks like a type of cayenne or similar annuum.
Need a good pic of the flower.

Bishops Crown (baccatum). Little heat with a hint of sweet. Brazilian Starfish are better imo but these get larger. Luv them sliced thin in coleslaw.
