Hi I’m really new to all of this. I received 2.6 ounces of what I think is og kush from someone emptying out their parents house. The problem is it tastes like old lady perfume and weed mixed together. Please tell me I can get the perfume taste out of this as I don’t want to throw it out.

sounds like a storage issue, prob for the cover the perfume added.. Not much you'll be able to do to get the scent off it

Been in Granny’s panty drawer.
ya we smoked one. It had more of a weed smell in the jar. We didn’t get the others smell/taste until we lit it up. I asked my husband and he thought it was kush

Get a sealable tote.
Put a couple inches of DISTILLED water in the bottom.
Put something in the center that is above the water you can set your jar on.
Jar open.
Put lid on overnight.
Next day spread it out on a table on paper towel for a few hours and see if you still smell it. If so do it again. Usually takes out smells that weren't part of the bud from the plant, like perfume, Ona Gel, etc.

water cure would get the smell out.for 3 days put all your weed under the water and change the water 2-3 times a day. but the end result would be compleatly no taste or smell.if the smell is ona gel then you could get seriously sick from the smoke

different strains cure differently, with different smells, often related to the length of time... if its smokable, smoke it....

Some strains are just not for some people. I grew out a strain called Lavender and it stunk like a spilled bottle of cheap lavender perfume. I couldn't even give it away. Whole 6 foot plant of unsmokable buds. Open the jar in a closed space and it was like being trapped in an elevator with someone who took a bath in perfume.
In 50 years of growing and smoking the herb it was the only strain I can recall being all but useless. Got you stoned but the smell and taste settled in your lungs, and you could taste it for hours afterwards.
