that volcano isn't gonna hurt anyone, the primary eruption stayed in the caldera. BTW i've been there, close up to the girl, and she is amazing.....

it will break up before it hit canada, it will get into colder water, what would be left is the wind and the rains as well as surf......
actually i felt a quake at the caldera, i got access through a school contest here in the states, and surprisingly i won.....all access pass to it, flew over it in a helo, drove up to the caldera, etc etc

Last year we had one that wrecked to province's power grid from one end to the other, this is where hurricanes go to die, but they often don't go down easy! The falls are longer up here now, and the big old trees are still full of leaves increasing the wind loading on them quite a bit. Last year after it was over there were trees down everywhere along with power lines and the ground was covered with shredded leaves that look like they went through a blender.

it was lottery, during the contest i was in, you have a chance to put your name in box for trip to Hawaii, so i did and i won, it was later when the revealed the trip was to the volcano as well as to Honolulu...had a blast....took my mom and dad with me too

Eye of a hurricane up here in NS at 46 degrees north and I lost power for a week and was one of the lucky ones as the grid was rebuilt. Late falls and big trees full of leaves and there are still plenty of big trees around here. In winter when the trees are bare of leaves and the ground frozen, then can withstand the winter gales.
Is that rare to happen up there? Maybe this is the new norm for you and Lee is going do the same thing. I hope you have an evacuation plan.
It happens nearly every hurricane season and no need to evacuate here, I'm on the south side of a sandstone hill 100 ft above sea level in a sheltered spot, no overland flooding and my basement is always dry as a bone. It's just the lights going out that bothers me and everybody else, there are few fatalities or too much property damage, but it's pain in the ass. The further south the worse and NJ could be in for a rough ride if it heads that way and it takes the hit.
Eastern Canada gets hit 6 times a year in average and there have been 240 recorded hurricanes.
That’s horrible! I never thought such a cold place could attract such powerful hurricanes.
if you think that's nut, you should check out the south china sea area.....those typhoons are nuts
