Liz Cheney thinks Jim Jordan will lose Speakership vote
Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wy.) thinks Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) will lose the Speakership vote if House Republicans choose him to fill the currently vacant seat.

“If the Republicans decide that Jim Jordan should be the Speaker of the House … by the way, I don’t think that will happen, I think he’ll lose,” Cheney said in a speech Thursday at the University of Minnesota.

Several Republicans have publicly endorsed Jordan to be the next speaker after the House voted Tuesday to remove former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) in a historic, first-of-its-kind vote.

Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) predicted Thursday that Jordan will earn enough votes to make him Speaker, more than House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), who also is vying for the seat.
Cheney doesn’t think Jordan will earn enough votes, but if he were to do so, she said there would “no longer be any possible way to argue that a group of elected Republicans could defend against the Constitution.”

Cheney said Jordan was part of former President Donald Trump’s plan to overturn the 2020 election.
“Jim Jordan knew more about what Donald Trump had planned for Jan. 6 than any other member of the House of Representatives,” Cheney said. “Jim Jordan was involved, was part of the conspiracy in which Donald Trump was engaged as he attempted to overturn the election.”

Cheney said there was a handful of people, Jordan being the leader, who knew what Trump had planned on that day. Cheney said in her speech that someone needs to ask Jordan why he didn’t report his knowledge about the events on Jan. 6 to Capitol Police.

The race to become the next Speaker is still new, and others could join Jordan and Scalise in the battle for Speakership ahead of next week’s expected vote.
Trump may be one of those joining the race. Trump told Fox News Digital on Thursday that he would accept a short-term role and serve as a “unifier” for the Republican party as Speaker.

Turns out, Trump backed out of his speakership stunt once he learned that it's done by secret ballot and he wouldn't get many votes.
Not surprising, as it's been widely reported few of the GOP support him, but are too cowardly to make it public.

IRS places lien on Giuliani property over unpaid taxes: filing
The IRS placed a $550,000 lien on former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s south Florida condo in August over unpaid taxes, according to newly revealed court filings.

The lien, first reported by the Daily Mail, underlines Giuliani’s tenuous financial situation as he reportedly struggles to pay off mounting legal fees.

The property is just 3 miles from former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach. Giuliani, who previously worked as an attorney for Trump, attempted to sell it for more than $3 million in 2019, but could not find a buyer.

In July, he also listed his New York City apartment for $6.5 million.

The Hill has reached out to Giuliani for comment.

Giuliani spokesman Ted Goodman told The Hill that the former mayor has an agreement with the IRS to pay off the tax debts.
Giuliani faces multiple criminal and civil suits related to his actions following the 2020 election, including being indicted alongside Trump in the Georgia election racketeering case.

He is one of the defendants who has reportedly requested money from Trump for his legal fees. The former president hosted a fundraiser to help Giuliani’s legal defense last month.

Other legal cases against Giuliani include a $10 million sexual assault lawsuit filed in May, allegations he has denied, a civil suit brought by Hunter Biden, and three defamation suits.

Two of the pending defamation suits are related to the 2020 election — both from voting equipment companies — and the third he lost after a judge ruled he defamed a mother-daughter duo serving as election workers in Georgia.

In the defamation case brought by the election workers, attorneys for the pair claim that Giuliani has avoided paying them $130,000 in penalties in the case.

He was also sued by his former attorneys last month, who demanded $1.4 million in outstanding legal fees.
Rudy will soon have free accommodation in the State of Georgia and if he's alive after that a federal trial in DC and free federal housing.

It will boil down to a Trump toady or someone who will defy Trump but can still keep him onside. If Trump thinks they are trying to break his hold on the party and are turning on him, he will destroy them and burn the house down on the way out the door. He needs them for one thing, to try and squirm out of his legal problems anyway he can, even trying to extort a presidential pardon from Biden by ordering the republican house to shut the country down. What will happen if Trump is disqualified from the republican primaries? He will become king maker and endorse whoever would pardon him and try to spring him from state prison. He will also endorse candidates who support him as he is going down in flames in court. Trump will control enough of the base no matter what happens to screw them bigly in the elections of 24, even from prison.

BREAKING: Trumper MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell gets devastating news as his lawyers tell a judge that Lindell owes them “millions of dollars” in the lawsuits against him by Dominion and Smartmatic — and that they intend to drop Lindell as a client.

But it gets WORSE for Lindell… NBC News reports that his lawyers told the judge that their firm “cannot afford to finance” Lindell’s “defense” because the “future fees and costs will amount to millions of dollars in addition to the millions of dollars already owed."

Adding insult to injury for Lindell, he just reacted to the news by telling NBC that he can’t pay his lawyers because he is broke and has “lost everything, every dime. All of it is gone.”

Then, Lindell whined and lamented to NBC that banks “took away all” of his “borrowing” abilities because society has “canceled” him over his shameless, relentless pushing of Trump’s dangerous Big Lie.

Laughably, Lindell ended his interview with NBC by leaving the door open to representing himself in trial if he can’t afford to find another law firm to represent him.

And let a democrat appointed by Newsome replace him! Santos will be gone to prison soon too and that will make things tight for Gym, if he gets the speakership. The democrats would be just a couple of votes away from control of the house then. He won't resign until he has another paycheck coming in and he likes the pension benefits, so don't expect any moves soon.

That's shitty reporting. Headline gets attention, then he denies it. If he said it to someone, he lied to them.

BREAKING: Trumper Congressman Jim Jordan is hit with devastating news as a prominent former U.S. Military prosecutor demands that Jordan be criminally charged as “an accessory after the fact” for helping cover up Trump’s January 6 insurrection.

But it gets worse for Jordan…

The former U.S. Military prosecutor, Glenn Kirschner, was asked to comment on Jim Jordan being the front runner to replace Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House — and Kirschner didn’t hold back, declaring:

“I’m quite sure that Special Counsel Jack Smith has been investigating the insurrectionists in Congress. Remember that six of them asked for pardons because they knew that they had committed crimes on and around January 6th — and they wanted to get away with those crimes. Jack Smith can’t turn a blind eye to all of that. The other thing that Jim Jordan has absolutely been doing is trying to cover up and prevent Donald Trump from being held accountable for his crimes. In a very real sense, he’s been an accessory after the fact to Donald Trump’s crimes by creating this Mickey Mouse committee on the “weaponization of government.” There are a number of crimes that Jim Jordan may have committed — and I hope Special Counsel Jack Smith is going scorched earth after those crimes.”

Very well said. There is a mountain of evidence that Jim Jordan not only helped Trump orchestrate the deadly January 6 insurrection — but has also been working furiously to help himself and Trump cover up their crimes by shamelessly abusing his power.

He should be in prison — not in charge of Congress.
