Examples of GOP Leadership

It's obvious they were all coached to respond thusly to the inevitable question. Which means they don't have an answer and the question must be asked again. And again.
It will be, repeatedly as Trump goes down in court and is disqualified in 60 days, these clowns are about to ride the tiger! They have an anti abortionist religious nut case as poster boy for the reproductive rights issue, the girls are gonna love this guy! Israel might be allying with Ukraine after the terrorist attack and his base of evangelicals are big Israel supporters, plus he has a hawk wing that favors Ukrainian aid. Trump is going down in court during the primaries and will soon be disqualified. Unless this guy takes a bullet for Trump he will be a RINO! First orders will be to impeach Chutkan! If they jail Donald, he will have to make the pilgrimage to jail every visiting day as Trump demands the illegal and impossible from behind glass on a phone while being recorded by Jack.

New York Republicans move to force a vote on Santos expulsion
A group of New York Republicans moved to force a vote on expelling Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) on Thursday, the second effort this year to eject the freshman lawmaker from Congress amid mounting federal charges.
Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-N.Y.) called the measure to the floor as a privileged resolution Thursday afternoon, which forces leadership to act on the legislation within two legislative days. The House left Washington on Thursday afternoon and is not scheduled to return until Wednesday.

Leadership can motion to table the resolution or refer it to a committee, both of which would require majority support. But if the legislation comes to the floor for a vote, it will need backing from two-thirds of the chamber.
The path forward on the expulsion resolution will be one of the first big decisions made by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who won the gavel on Wednesday following former Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s ouster from the top position. Johnson will have to make a decision on the Santos expulsion in his first week on the job.

D’Esposito said he informed Johnson of his plans to bring the privileged resolution to the floor earlier on Thursday, and, according to Rep. Nick LaLota (R-N.Y.), the newly-minted Speaker said: “Do what’s right and do what’s right for New York.”
The New York Republicans said their decision to force a vote on expelling their colleague at this time was in response to a guilty plea from Santos’s former campaign treasurer, Nancy Marks.

Marks pleaded guilty to conspiring with the then-candidate to fraudulently inflate his campaign finance reports. Marks reached a plea deal with prosecutors earlier this month, pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States.
Days later, Santos was charged with 10 new criminal counts on allegations that he inflated his campaign finance reports and charged donors’ credit cards without authorization, bringing the total number of charges against him to 23. In May, Santos was indicted on 13 federal charges over accusations that he misled donors and misrepresented his finances to the public and government agencies.

Santos is set to be arraigned for the second set of charges on Friday.
“Certainly the indictment is persuasive, but more importantly, the plea by his treasurer confirming everything that we knew,” Rep. Nick LaLota (R-N.Y.) told reporters. “We knew a lot beforehand, he admitted to a lot of things in the D’Esposito resolution, but the treasurer’s plea I think is confirmation that, of a criminal conspiracy to defraud voters, donors, the FEC and everybody in between.”
The move by the New York Republicans on Thursday is the second effort in recent months to expel Santos from office. Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) forced a vote on expelling Santos in May, but the House ultimately voted to send the resolution to the Ethics Committee — a move that was panned as largely redundant because the panel was already investigating the congressman.

The New York Republicans — who have called for Santos to resign and be expelled — voted in favor of referring the resolution in May, deferring to the panel as the legal process played out. D’Esposito said the New Yorkers are hearing that the Ethics Committee is supposed to be wrapping up its report “very soon.”
Now, however, because of the Marks guilty plea, they say it is time to remove Santos from Congress.
“I think the difference between this and what the Democrats had brought is that you have a guilty plea in court by his treasurer, confirming significant details and obviously a superseding indictment based on that conviction and guilty plea by his treasurer,” Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) told reporters. “When the original expulsion resolution was referred to Ethics, is because you need level of due process here. And obviously, you know, in order to get two-thirds vote, people need to be able to base something on. You have that with the guilty plea of his treasurer.

“His treasurer pled guilty,” he later added. “The superseding indictment that he is going to court tomorrow for is based on his treasurer’s guilty plea. So you have now a conviction in this case that very clearly lays out what he did and how he did it.”
LaLota suggested that the New York Republicans would not support a motion to table the resolution, telling reporters: “I don’t think a motion to table if there is one will be successful.”
“We plan on voting on a resolution to expel George Santos,” D’Esposito later said.

The expulsion resolution, which spans three pages, references lies and misrepresentations Santos has been accused of making. It also lists his federal charges and the Marks case.
If Santos is expelled, the House GOP’s majority would become even slimmer, taking away a key vote for the conference’s legislative pushes. If a vacancy opens up, a special election would be held to fill the seat.

Before Mike Johnson became House speaker, he lobbied for a Noah’s Ark theme park—and it’s exactly how you picture it
The new speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives is Mike Johnson, a four-term Republican from Louisiana’s 4th district who’s a so-called social conservative’s social conservative. He’s also the least-experienced person to hold that job in 140 years, on top of being someone who kept a profile so low since arriving in 2015 that his own district’s local newspaper, the Baton Rouge Advocate, calls him “largely unknown.”

Those curious to know more about the man second-in-line to the presidency might study what Johnson did before arriving in Washington for some clues. One thing he did was force the government to subsidize the cost of a life-size Noah’s Ark—the world’s largest timber-framed structure, according to the designers—which is the centerpiece of a theme park called Ark Encounter. Inside, it contains exhibits explaining how two of every animal on Earth (dinosaurs included) were squeezed inside, and that Earth is just 6,000 years old.

While still a lawyer in the mid-2010s, Speaker Johnson represented a Christian apologetics organization called Answers in Genesis, which was the group that gave Kentuckians the Creation Museum in the late 2000s. The organization had been denied tax subsidies to build a replica ark, to scale, per the specs laid out in the Bible—a decision that Answers in Genesis intended to fight. Founder Ken Ham asked Johnson to be the group’s lawyer, which he agreed to do pro bono.
Here are both men in 2016 explaining why the Ark Encounter deserves taxpayers’ dollars:

On Wednesday, Hannah Gais, a senior researcher at the Southern Poverty Law Center, posted what she called “some select photos” from inside the Ark Encounter, to give context on what the House speaker had represented:

“Did you know? Up to 85 kinds of dinosaurs were on the ark,” one sign tells visitors, “including 2 Tyrannosaurids, 2 Stegosaurids, 2 Ceratopsids, and 2 Brachiosaurids.”

The replica itself spans some 510 feet long by 85 feet wide, and is 51 feet high. The latest fossil discoveries suggest the biggest dinosaurs, such as titanosaurs, which have be dug up on all seven continents, were around 100 feet long and weighed as much as 50 tons.

Another of Gais’ pictures shows a diagram on a wall, labeled, “Every Thing Fits,” that explains Ark Encounter researchers have done the math and now place “1,398 animal kinds on board the Ark.” It adds that 85% of them weighed 22 pounds or less, while 7% weighed between 22.1 and 220 pounds. The diagram points also out where the waste chutes and “animal treadmills” were located.

Before joining Congress, Johnson rose to senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom (then called the Alliance Defense Fund, a group that fights to expand Christian beliefs in the public sphere, ban abortion, and block LGBTQ+ rights) after he graduated from law school at Louisiana State University in 1998. This background set him up to found his own legal ministry in 2015, called Freedom Guard, that represented Christian clients like Answers in Genesis.

Three weeks before he formally entered Congress, Johnson sued Kentucky in federal court on Answers in Genesis’s behalf, arguing that state officials were committing “viewpoint discrimination” by denying tax subsidies for its Noah’s Ark-themed attraction. Officials argued Answers in Genesis couldn’t qualify for subsidies because it required employees to sign statements professing a belief in biblical creationism. However, Johnson and Answers in Genesis won in court, and Kentuckians ultimately had to help pay for the wooden boat.

Today, the theme park claims to welcome more than 1 million visitors a year. Guests can also tour a zoo with different real animals, and watch various virtual-reality experiences and “family programming.”

I wonder what being disqualified in 60 days will do to his rally schedule, being locked up in jail won't help at all. He is also due to lose a lot of cash around then when the judge in NY reaches a decision on how much he owes. Then the receiver will start selling off his properties and paying creditors, including to secret equity partners the judge order him to release, no word on if he complied on that yet.

My daughter, Ivanka, was released from this Fake Letitia James case by the Court of Appeals, but this Trump Hating, Unhinged Judge, who ruled me guilty before this Witch Hunt Trial even started, couldn’t care less about the fact that he was overturned. I also won on Appeal on Statute of Limitations, but he refuses to accept their decision. I truly believe he is CRAZY, but certainly, at a minimum, CRAZED in his hatred of me. This case should have never started, but now must be dismissed. Financial Statements were LOW, NOT HIGH, had a 100% Disclaimer Clause, Banks were fully paid, “on time, on schedule,” with never even a minor default, there was NO VICTIM, EXCEPT ME. Any other Judge in the Country would have thrown this case out on day one. He’s an out of control “Nut Job,” who fined me $10,000 over a ridiculous Gag Order so that the publicity for the day would take over from the fact that Racist James and the Judge’s Star Witness admitted LYING TO CONGRESS on the stand - CASE OVER!

Like his base of morons understands the lie or cares...

Donald forgets, it not the public he needs to convince, it's the judge, he will make the call on how much he owes NY. Looks like it might be north of $600 million, and the call will be made in December, about the same time he is disqualified by the POTUS.

80% of the American voters believe Biden won the 2020 election, Trump is facing disqualification over it inside 60 days, he is facing 2 criminal trials over it, this spring and probably summer, or fall at the latest and one at least will be on TV.

Now Cletus's younger brother here, says Trump won the 2020 election and will be asked it repeatedly as Trump goes down in flames starting soon. He will have to break with Trump at some point or Trump will break him. How about charging up the courthouse steps leading a mob? Impeaching Chutkan? Visiting him in jail? Supporting his ballot write in if the SCOTUS disqualifies Trump? A pardon for Trump? The list is long and Donald is getting heavier to carry with each passing day.

Trump is right about one thing.

The case is over.
