More "heh, don't do that…"I'm using a phone app for a light meter so far. Good eye catching that. Thanks. I'll upgrade to a better one once I recover from all this startup expense.
Looks great man! A lot of people balk at tps products because of the cost. Tell ya what, I use tps one, silica, bloom and signal in my rdwc and soil grows and havent had one problem, not one definciency, nothing but green goodness and haven't looked back since. Looking forward to following your grows!

So, all you use is those 4 nutrients through your whole grow? I was thinking about getting the TPS kit but if your getting by with those 4 I might just do the same.
Good read and great info. Thanks for sharing. Real science to that stuff.More "heh, don't do that…"
If you're using Photone, make sure to use the diffuser (iOS) and be skeptical of readings until you can calibrate it. I've tested Photone on my iPhone XS Max twice. First time was 2 ½ years ago against my Kind blurple and Photone could not get a reading. I had been through the nut roll of creating a diffuser (at the time, the folks at Photone didn't even specify if you should use 20#, 22#, 24# paper) but when I tested it…nothing. I traded some emails with their programmer (I've been a software engineer since the early 90's) and decided that Photone wasn't for me, so I bought an Apogee.
In the Summer of 2022, I tested Photone again but with my Growcraft grow light and it came out 16% high. It was good that it was high at all four dimmer settings but the fact that it was that far off continued to be a reason I recommend a software "meter" only if it can be calibrated.
How to calibrate?
One simple way is to use the PPFD values for a given light. I'm somewhat leary of PPFD maps from manufacturers but have a higher level of confidence in many third party reports. If you can get a good set of data, take measurements at 12", 18", and 24" hang heights but you have to be careful to make sure that it's at, say 12" and not 14". A very small change in distance to the light makes a significant difference when it comes to the amount of light.
Another way would be to get the Clear Sky app that Apogee has written. You can download it from the iOS App Store. That approach takes a little more work (and December is about the least optimal time of the year for this) but it is from the company that sells PAR meters that has some merit.
Good luck to you and happy growing!
Cool, I just ordered some. Been using Fox Farm and I’m not happy. Thanks for the info.@Hiroller718 Yepper, I only use those 4 TPS products throughout the entire grow both in soil and hydro. I use the recommended dosage and have zero issues.
I know there's cheaper options out there but this works great for me, so I'm sticking with it
Tree beard has no idea how happy that stamemt make me. I did a lot of reading on TPS but that info means little compared to a guy who's used and continues to use the products with now reported problems. Hard to find that kinda formula.Cool, I just ordered some. Been using Fox Farm and I’m not happy. Thanks for the info.

I've had no issues to report so far. I'm just in seedlings to early veg and im liking what I see so far. Nice green lush growth. A sweet visual for a cannabis grower.
I'm gonna follow you. I'd like to see how ya do with the TPS line. I think you'll like it. Do you have a journal going?
No journal. So, do you use the same nutrient too?Tree beard has no idea how happy that stamemt make me. I did a lot of reading on TPS but that info means little compared to a guy who's used and continues to use the products with now reported problems. Hard to find that kinda formula.

Yes I do. I have One, CalMag, and the bud enhancer. No journal. So, do you use the same nutrient too?

This thing should give me some good solid bud. I know a good lamp isn't the whole equation but it's a very import one.
I did see that. I'll have to find out for myself how well it does. I've not found anyone using them. Nice solid built lamp. Dial dimmer is nice.Am I reading this right, it says it yields 2.5g per watt?
Yea let me know how you like it. It’s at a good price too but it’s sold out. I’m currently using ionframe evo10 from ac infinity. I’m using that one for flower and a KIND LED 450 for veg. It’s the old version and was wanting to upgrade to another one for veg.I did see that. I'll have to find out for myself how well it does. I've not found anyone using them. Nice solid built lamp.
