When do you start up a carbon filter?

When do you normally start the venting of the air through the tent?

I want to be ready. My seed has taprooted so I put it into the pot. But it's hasn't popped up yet

You should have ventilation at all times. I don’t run my carbon filter until a week or two after flip, because the carbon filter is as much for odor control as ventilation. It extends the lifetime of the filter not running it when unneeded. But until you need the carbon filter for odors, air movement is still necessary.

Carbon filter when you flip to flower, have the tent fan running all the time just to create air exchange.

Right now, just worry about your temps and soil conditions. Idk what light your using, but a seedling doesn't need much, so just make sure you don't fry it.

i didn't purchase the filter until i was in the first week of flower (auto). there was for sure an odor even before that, i'd say within a month of germination. for the first few weeks there was no odor, but i did have a small fan on the seedlings to strengthen the stalks.

I have a 6" Spider Farmer fan for the inside. I was just wondering about the air flow through the tent.

Mine hasn't popped up yet.

I have a Spider Farmer SF-1000 EVO. I set it to around 150 par and it is about 15" above the grow pot. But it hasn't popped up yet.

I have two autos that sprouted on 12/5 at about 12 days one of them is already stanky, hope thats a good sign. My plan was to leave the filter off as long as possible but it seems ill need to attach it real soon.

I ended up setting the carbon filter at first. I have set up my carbon filter and exhaust fan to control my humidity. So it doesn't run all the time.

I have my humidity set at 55% and the temperature stays at 80⁰F during lights on and drops to around 75⁰F during lights off.
