Today while doing some lst I had my first pest issues luckily I called a friend and he recommended some spray to use should be sorted soon..
As I’m only in veg and still trying to continue vegging will it affect yield?

on this grow i had a bad infestation of thrips everyday i would wake up and there would be new holes in all my leaves.
i picked up a product called "captain jacks deadbug" i used this product 1 time and thats all it took!.
im not sure if captain jacks deadbug is safe on cannabis but what i do know is that it worked for me :) good luck man.

I’ve got spray already just thinking will it affect yield
No, provided they get back to full health.

What spray?
Because some places don't allow the sale of spinosad products due to it being harmful to bees and we are stuck with neem sprays or other less affective products which require a continued treatment.

This is a great thread about thrips. I actually have them now from some clones I got. Just did the spinosad drench a couple times. First I did 1 oz a gal and the plants didn't seem phased so I just did the 2 oz per gal. I ordered some lacewing larvae before I read about the spinosad so I just added them today too. Wish I would have read about the spinosad drench before I spent money on bugs but oh well. I've wanted to check out the lacewings anyways.

Just an update. The 2 oz per gal drench didn't hurt the plants at all either. My plants actually look way better since I did the first drench. They were growing super slow. I thought it was because the tent has been cold (in the 60's, maybe low 70's) the whole time but now I'm thinking it was the thrips since they look way better now and the buds are growing rapidly like they should.

@curious2garden I had a question. Do you just do the drench when you get thrips or do you also foliar spray? I was just curious no pun intended :)

I have a noob-ish question: last grow, I had a spider mite problem get out of control before I noticed it. Before long, there were webs. I didn't treat, and it kinda continued into flower. I still smoked the flower and it was pretty mids but here's my question:

Do spider mites/thrips sort of "drain" a plant? Meaning, I technically kept my plant alive, yes, and got flower, yes, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it's growth, potency, size -- everything was 40 percent lower. . .

Yh I think they all do the same thing bud thrips don’t web I herd mites are the worst to get and the hardest to get rid of

Also thanks for everyone’s advice I’m currently still battling them gave em 2 sprays ain’t seen no difference but only been a week however I can’t see no thrips no more

So I finally fixed my spider mite problem by hanging one of those poison strips (I'll look up the brand). I grow in a tent, bought two strips at once, slowed down airflow, and that got them. . .but I was too late. It was really that simple.
