I've always preferred dry sift over bubble bags because I feel it keeps the terps, scent, and flavor better. I like my tumbler, it allows me to sift pounds of trim in one evening. I put the kief into mason jars to press into hash pucks for clients, or just sprinkle it over my weed for that extra kick...

Yeah I can see that as better and less work compared to bubble.

What's the setup and when do you you sift? Totally dry?

Collected from beneath my trimmer. I put down kraft paper, then sifted with a random silkscreen frame I have lying around. Maybe 110 microns which is one standard but it's not marked. Lets a tiny bit of green matter through. What's the best mesh size for screening kief
Kinda/sorta. Like with bubble our favorite plant acts differently from strain to strain. A good general rule though, IMO.

Yes, totally dry. Once the trim and popcorn bud is crispy, I put it in the freezer for 30 minutes or so to make the trichs extra brittle, then straight into the tumbler. I've always wanted to try a little dry ice in there, but it has proved too much of a hassle so far. I collect so much trim, I wait until I get a Whole Foods paper grocery bag full, then tumble round after round.

Your tumbler looks way cooler than mine, and it was cheaper. Yours is like some shit from Star Trek, mine is more Tupperware ;) Can you set your tumbler to stun???

ROFLMAO!! and it's much smaller but essentially the same damn thing except I didn't need something quite as large. Oh and you can completely powder a plant with it if you use dry ice and forget you left it running

Got it all stripped, onto trays, and into the Koolatron. I think what I was thinking was the bottom third if the plants was actually closer to half.

Me: Hey dog, did you take this off the table and then when I walked into the room, froze solid like I couldn't see you?
