I get it. It's what you're used to. Most folks would be lost w/o their 'tronics...and that has naturally migrated into all of the other things that were once done manually/etc. back there in the Dark Ages. :P We're signal challenge here at the house. Down in a 200 ft deep valley with a creek...the cell signal goes right over us. My wife couldn't kick her habit...so she has an iphone that goes through the wi-fi...but I happily gave mine up.

My grow is also all personal now...but that wasn't always the case...thus the need for a phone. I haven't missed any of it. Nobody gets to interrupt my thoughts/days now but the wife. :mrgreen:

First day in Florida was a massive success. Got off the plane at 8am and it was rainy and 52° We went straight to a 9 hole course and played one of the 18 hole layouts. Left there and went to another course. Halfway through the first round, we ran into Sarah Hokom from the pro tour. Her and her boyfriend were super cool and nice. Raven the dog was also adorable and wanted to show us her disc. We each bought one of her tour series glow discs and she signed em for us. Ended the day with about 29k steps, played 45 holes, and got one of the doscs I was hoping to find while down here. I also had about 6 drives that we thought were aces. None were unfortunately, but it felt great. The putting game was warm garbage at best, but we had a blast. Now, it's time to get dressed and go out and do it again today!!!

My last time I was laid off in winter had a job offer at Massachusetts dispensary to be a hand trimmer for minimum wage for 9 hours,lol. That's freaking trim jail,I was curious though and maybe could of gotten my foot in the door to grow some day. Not commercial anyway more of operations towards medical small grows would be nice.

How does that work? They just drop a big bin in front of you and hand you scissors?
 
I'm one of those cave people that hand waters. I'm retired, I enjoy the process. Right now I have 5 plants. Currently one wants water every other day, 2 want it every 3 days, one needs it at 4 days and the 5th is happy on a 5 day schedule. I say water but mostly I fertigate, I find that 1/2 tsp of Maxibloom per gallon brings my ph down to around 6.5. So I don't need PH up or down, just tap water and Maxibloom.

Yea pretty much sit at a big table and start trimming. Of course all on camera and with a few other people. Be nice if could keep sissor hash. If it was a small gig for few hours I would just to check out and see some strains. Probably leave you in a room though and lock you in there.

My son and his friends trimmed for extra $$ in college for a medical dispensary. He ended up working at a Rec dispensary for 4 years but got burned out on all of it. Same gig happened to most of the people I know/knew who got jobs as "Master Grower". Master Slave is more like it. Takes a lot of the fun out of growing when yer doing all sorts of things to get that crop to market...uhhhhuuuum. It's all big business here...and locked up tight. Minimum wage jobs abound and it's a revolving door of folks wanting to play drug dealer...LOL. It only lasts so long before the glitz wears off and reality hits...especially when the owner drives up in his Mercedes and you rode your bike to work. Pffft. I miss illegality... :P :bigjoint:

I'm stuck growing in my unheated garage so there's just enough automation to keep things alive. The rest is on me. Gotta go down now and dump the dehuey (in the tent) cus it'll be full. Suckes all the moisture..even out of the pots...LOL. I water daily...and enjoy it. I do all of it because I like to grow. I don't need the pot. I get slammed hard from the outdoor every year. I just use this to look at seeds/strains/figure out what I wanna grow outside. IF there was still money in it...i'd have every damn gadget out there...as I once did. :bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

I just enjoy seeing what everyone does...different.

Music and snacks? can trim without music and snacks.

My first trim, little over five years ago was four northern lights in a 3x3 DWC. Like ten hours of trimming larfy garbage.

I was so proud of that grow LOL.
