My first real concert was Billy Idol on the Rebel Yell tour. Young and stoned!

When I was younger the Beach Boys played a 4th of July concert every year at the Washinton Monument in downtown DC. We'd get there early in the morning and setup an area with a tent and beach chairs and stay until they did the big fireworks show. Still have a couple cassettes of theirs but no tape player anymore.....damn I'm old.

I remember when they brought Julio Iglesias in to replace them as one of the saddest concerts I've ever been to. I stopped going to the concerts after that but we had a great spot in downtown to watch the fireworks from. My dad would take us to his office building downtown and we could watch from the roof terrace with no crowd. I started going to the concerts in the late 70s so I missed the Bi-centennial concert in 76. Bet that was a good one.

my favorite show ever was carlos santana and rusted root. i think that was '97.
from '92-'95 i went to a few GD shows, in chicago and indy. i was there for the gatecrashing. i also was there to see a few friends get busted by undercover narcs, and get locked up for possession of weed and acid. no fun.
my teenage years i lived about 15 miles from noblesville/deer creek and in the 90's you could buy concert tickets for $10 or so. we'd stand in line at the local Karma / TM vendor on saturday mornings to buy tickets. those were actually some of my favorite memories, meeting people who were into the same band/music, chatting, planning to meet up later at the show...
then one day my boyfriend (at the time)'s mom came home, excited about The Eagles "Hell Freezes Over" tour. tickets were selling for $50 for lawn, and we literally were in disbelief. word was that people were paying over $100/ticket for pavilion.
i still blame that damn tour for the prices that we're now paying today for concerts.

Me and the cat crank the beach boys sometimes. My wife would call me at work when we were dating talking about moving in together all the time. I would sing "wouldn't it be nice" until she hung up on me all the time lol. I was such a dick
