Pot without drain holes

You need drainage holes without it you will get salt build up nutrient toxicity and or root rot gotta deal with that runoff somehow too its part of the game like it or not

I don’t have any drain holes in my sips, no need to flush salts if you don’t use them! If using salt based nutes then I would agree.

I'm going to play devils advocate here and say SIP pots. Mine are 4 gallon and don't have any drain holes, just one overflow hole.
First thing I do is figure out how much water I can add before it starts to overflow. When I water I just stay a little under that amount, that way the tent stays dry.
I flip them as soon as I transplant so they don't spend too much time in the SIP pot. I'm using Maxi grow seguing into Maxibloom and tap water.
One grow I felt like I had salt build-up so I top watered with straight water and vacuumed out the reservoir a couple of times then continued feeding till harvest. It was easy I just stuck a piece of garden hose onto an attachment for my wet or dry shop vac.
All this being said I wouldn't attempt this on a SOG grow. Get a tub big enough to fill your tent and stick some 1 or 2 gallon pots in there.

I was talking about with more traditional style pots vs sips with the older pots its a must with sips feeding organic and light i could see you being ok

I had trouble vacuuming the water out of the trays so I bought a hard plastic liner ($100) for my tent floor and now no problems.

I think the best investment I ever made in growing is the deep 2x4 tray that has saved my bacon a few times. $80
