Trellis net help first timer

I don’t think I did a good job using the net. I believe I was already over grown to try to use it. Any suggestions. I’m currently on day 13 of flower. I set up the net right before flipping any advice?

What stage of life? Veg, just starting flower,...?

Also, if support is necessary when the buds bulk up, there's no reason another trellis can't be used.
