A couple three town trips ago, I found a pair of Magellan Outdoors zip-leg pants, then the next trip a nice shirt from the same company. The shirt is my regular walking shirt now. Normal Goodwill pricing.

But. . . . . . . . last week we got hit by lightning. When it knocked the meter off the house, I knew it was going to be bad. It got the cordless phones and answering machine, the modem, two Dish Network Joeys, and the pump. I replace the pressure switch and controller for just under two hundred bucks. But the strike had busted the casing because silt clogged my filters right away. I am so used to dealing with hurricanes, that I thought our deductible was $10K and a new well cost 9.5K. But I was very happy to learn that it is only 2.5K for stuff like this. No fuss at all from the insurance folks. We sent pictures of the dirty water running and got quotes from a couple of well drillers. (they got started this morning) And they are going to pay for the phones and pump parts I bought before I knew it had to be replaced. I will keep the old well, running all the garden spigots off it. I just have to buy sprinklers with larger holes.

I bought this to play with.
Unfortunately I had to return it. It had a very bad reception. I couldn't even hear my local radio stations when I put it into the radio mode. Or hear the local NOAA weather station.

It also couldn't hear any local repeaters either when my Kenwood TH-F6A sitting next to it could.

It did transmit on 1.25m tho. That why I wanted it. So I could take it fishing with me and not worry about it falling into the water (Low priced radio).

View attachment 5408712 Washer for makin hash. Last time I was sore for 2 days from stirring the ice bucket.
You're probably aware of this but in case not, it's fairly easy to swap out the accordion style hose those usually come with for vinyl or silicon. Way easy to keep clean. I'm also looking into a fan dimmer to slow down the rotation because I feel like it was more aggressive than necessary.

Lol, that was actually my project yesterday. The 1” inner diameter hose I got was a bit small, so I had to scout around the plumbing section for some sort of adapter. Leak tested and motor tested, good to go. I’m doing some pheno hunting, hoping to just hash the losers and vac seal/freeze.

We had a Tally trip today, and when we got back you could see the boxes stacked on the porch from the road. I kind of went crazy on Prime day. Three more packs of the toe socks. Two kinds of shock cord, one with fasteners (for a hiker belt). An eight pack of reflective guy lines. Four pair of crocs (20 bucks each) and some insoles. Five packs of 5, 10 and 20 gallon grow bags. And the only real fuckup was a kids pack that I thought was just a slack pack, but was a mini version of an arc haul knockoff, complete with curved frame for air flow. It was less than 20 bucks and I have a couple of grand nephews, one of which should be the right size.
