In the most simple of terms, the plant uses its leaves to capture sunlight for energy, and to sweat. The roots drink and absorb energy from the soil.So I guess I should let them go for now? They seem to be getting plenty of sunlight. Sorry for the dumb questions but I have no idea of what I’m doing? I really want to try to grow these without failure so I’m asking too many questions. I think I’m just going to put them in the ground and grow them like I would a tomato plant, lol.
As far as I know, pruning is unnecessary outdoors unless you have a particularly bushy, dense plant, and need to improve airflow. Indoors it's a bit more crucial, depending on the environment and the cultivar.
