Finally got paranoid and installed a carbon filter

We have been growing in our apartment for a couple years now and no one has given us any trouble about it, but last week the downstairs neighbor knocked on the door and politely asked if we had ever heard of smokeless ashtrays. I told her that we don’t smoke, which is true. We use a Volcano vape except for rare occasions when I light up a bowl of pressed kief.

I kind of expected that eventually we might need an exhaust fan and filter. My wife decided to get it from Vivosun on Amazon. It cost us less than $120. The tent is 4x4 feet.

I guess. I think it helps that they all cook smelly food. That’s what I smell every time I go out in the hallway. We also have cats that create their own stinkiness to camouflage the terpenes.

If it matters, we have a closet that we use for vegging seedlings and clones or re-vegging females. I have not gotten a filter for the closet because it doesn’t have flowering plants in it. I am assuming that the flowering plants are the stinky ones.

They all smell but yeah in bud it's far stronger.

Next time you get a filter, like in 9 month, get a bigger one of better quality, itl last 2-3 years or more

They’re great, I live in a no-smoking apartment building. I chain smoke joints all day, can’t even smell it at the door. Gonna grab the refillable one once this one wears out.

I used to think that too but when my 1st plant was still a couple months away from being ready for flower, it started stinking. I had get my exhaust set up at that time.

I've had seedlings that still had the shell stuck to it that stank just like that end result should lol

What kind of neighborhood and apartments do you live in? More nicer, or straight ghetto? When I used to live at these one apartments in the ghetto I just grew in the storage on the balcony with no filter, but I was on the top floor so I would never smell anything unless the wind was blowing and then it would blow the smell all around to where you couldn't tell where it was coming from. Then at my last place another ghetto spot the front door has a gap under the door you could see daylight and one night a new neighbor was moving in and just came to my door drunk sipping a beer and said "Hey bro, smells pretty killer over here dude! Do you happen to have a bowl or two I can get off you until tomorrow, I mean I would just go to the dispensary but it's already midnight..." I was like "Naw sorry bro, I was just blazing up a pre-roll my step dad gave me for Christmas"
My new place I'm not even growing right now because it's nicer and all the people are ritsy stuck up nosey people I don't feel like I could get away with it. I got to move back to the hood lol
