I have no clue what's going on.

Rdwc airstones in all buckets. Rh 55% temp 80

general hydroponics just doing Lucas formula with cal mag at 3 ml a gallon. Was using ro water but switched to tap with a dechlorinating filter. But that was only recently and have had this before. ph 5.9 1100 ppm. Recalibrated ph pen and double checked with drops.
Just got back into and never had problems with any type hydro before. Dirt ones are doing fine outside.

Is it too much cal mag you think? Someone told me it's not enough lol.
Last run using RO I had some of same issues. Running few different strains. This one the worst. Others are showing signs and would like to figure out.

As far as I can figure it can be because of; nutrient def, over watering, heat, light, pests, lockout, I've had them all.

Good luck

In my experience, when the plant starts to look like that all at once, it's a pH/lockout issue.....but I know you said you checked that very carefully.

I've narrowed out heat, light, and over watering (rdwc)
I don't THINK it's over nutrients, ppm 1100
Was told calmag deficiency. Was using 3ml a gallon instead of 5 cause I am using tap. But when I ran ro I was using 5ml and still same issues.
Using a smaller tent with some t5 lights and a 10gal dwc with room for 10 small plants. Running simple Lucas formula with cal mag ph 5.8. They seem to do fine first few weeks.
Couple weeks after moving to other tent with rdwc system they start looking like this.

At first was doing a diy bucket type aero then dwc and now rdwc and all the same issues. 4x4 tent, mammoth 6 bar led, have turned down, 6in fan with filter. 80 degrees and 52rh.
Was using botanicare calmag, silica, veg, hydroguard and liquid karma. Ditched it thinking just go simple even though I used all that 10+years ago and was fine. General hydroponics Lucas formula and calmag and super diluted southern ag as hydroguard replacement now. I've blamed everything and trying whatever I can.

Yeah, something along of too much nutes like others have suspected.
Too much of Ca,Mg or K leads to deficiency in others.

Lucas formula is around NPK 50/44/77 + CaMgS 43/36/33
No need for Ca+Mg with this.
If anything some more K would do better, in a milder solution

I'll cut out the cal mag. Anything I should do to help before? Run straight adjusted ph water? Does that help "flush" and help with lockout? Do that for a week and then change rez minus the cal mag?

What are you using for sterility?
Had a little root rot in veg tent dwc before I got a bigger airstone pump. Hydrogen peroxide for that. Picked 4 flavors for other setup rest outside. After last crop that only 2 of 4 survived. I built a new setup and used little bleach for pumps and lines that were used before. Cleaned tent out real good with diluted bleach.

Used hydroguard before and moved to ag southern, very diluted, cause I've changed everything else trying. Been about 3 weeks into new area. 2-3 week old clones. Change Rez once a week. Pretty clean setup

Tent used for one grow before.

Stupid question.. do you know what ppm scale you are using to measure?
If using American 500 scale that’s pretty high.
an EC reading would be better if you don’t know.View attachment 5406301

my god have I been nuking the hell out of em?
Got a cheaper ph pen, not the cheapest. Calibrate every couple weeks with the powder and been pretty close each time. Didint know anything about scale. Ppm says 1100. Other measurements says Us/cm 2380. Now clue what that is honestly. 10-15 years ago I used drops for ph testing and never ppm or ec.
Should I go straight water for a few days?

No, don’t go straight water ever, and I don’t know what scale your using so maybe find something that measures in EC as that’s universal

Pen says 500 more. It says it's an ex meter too. But that number say 2380
So don't flush with straight water. Thought that's what you do for lockout? I'll just take out half of rez, since I just changed. Too off with ph'ed water. Then next Rez change I'll go half strength and see how it goes?

Thanks all for any insight. Lot of work for failure
Nice being able to talk about it without risk of going to jail now.

500 scale that is for ppm
