I'm starting my first grow and I'm wondering if this is a good light for a 2x2 tent

Couldn't tell you if the par maps or stats are accurate but it would serve you well at 75% in a 2x2 and give great coverage being it's 58cm square.

If you've got the tent already measure the gap from pole to pole , because it might not fit

Those par figures don't look quite right measured in a 4 x 4 but the light should be good for a 2 x 2
As @coreywebster sez, measure the 2 x 2 tent first.

I've done that it's like 32 in and the light is like 20-26in if not more also didn't expect em to be right

I concur with Mo: those numbers are fudged. Or maybe its the numbers of their 480w version of the light. There is just not enough watts in this light to give those numbers, no way.
It will give you enough light for a 2x2 but id advice against to buy a light that is fudging their numbers. If they are already lying about output how do you know if they will honor their warranty or not burn down your house?

Are you looking for lights directly on Amazon? Its full of bogus lights with bogus claims, dont look there, look for successful growers here and what they use, or just state your budget and which market (us/eu/other) youre in here and we can help you out.
HLG/Migro/Vipar all have good and economic alternatives but get them vetted and checked out properly first. Also, nothing wrong with buying the lights of amazon but if you start your search there youre going to drown in shitty alternatives.

380-410 nm, 660-665nm, 730nm,3200-4200K,4800-5000K diodes included it says...but the spectrum doesn't show the bumps for uv or ir...and actually doesn't mention them in the spectrum tile at all. Probably will work fine but an awful lot of inconsistencies in the description.

Nah I've just been looking for less expensive bc I've already spent like 200-400 and ab to spend 300 more just trying not to pay over 200 for a light but I might have to

You can defo get a good light for a 2x2 for less than 200, just know where to look. The list posted above has a Vipar light, 1500 pro something which is usually my go to recommendation for a 2x2 on a budget. Very even light coverage and enough light to cover any situation in a 2x2. And close to 100bucks.

If you can go as high as 150 and in the us market then 2x board/heatsink kits from HLG on a 150w driver would be better and leave you with the option of expanding but theres some basic ikea-like diy involved. The kits would be about 50 each and youd need a driver for another 50ish; id use meanwell xlg-150h-AB. All together a better option, double the diodes and better spectrum, HLG stands behind their products like noone else and doubling up on boards means you have a efficiency advantage over SF/Mars/Vipar.

Alr bc the ones I've found are close to like 140-200 for a 2x2-4x4

I live nowhere with a home depo/ikea/ hardware
The most i have is tractor supply or homebase and there like garden stuff and other shi I'd have to order everything online

I was referring to technical level, its as easy as sticking a wire into a pushin connector. You dont need any ikea, maybe a hardware shop but thats it. Apart from boards, sinking and driver all you need are a few wago connectors (4 x2way, 2x 3way) and some way to hang the two boards as one: basicly a little alu angle and some wire.

This one is a very good LED for a 2x2 PLUS it is upgradable via a simple connector wire to another one. ( up to 20 of them ! )

This way you can upgrade easily based on your grow space.

Prime day sale is coming too ! So might be cheaper.

I myself have “ tested “ this lamp for Vipar Spectra as well as others here on RIU. I speak highly of this particular lamp and is one of my favorites. MIGRO on YouTube did a full review of this lamp also. For the price it is hard to beat.

Leds have optics for efficiency and spread.
Check them out.

Hah! I was just about to recommend the Vipar and a couple of postings showed up!

The XS-1500 Pro is a superb light for a 2' x 2' tent and, short answer (I need to get back work) is the Vipar is a better quality product but the mystery light will put more light into your 2' tent.

Is the driver for the mystery light detachable?

What's the make and model of the mystery light?
