Depends ime some dogs are smart some are dumb depends on what the purpose of them was in the first place and the individual like people they vary the one thing I will say is dogs with a bit of extra wolf content in them tend to be sharper than most

Our dog is half Labrador and half Pitbull. Leaning more Lab. Every Lab I've ever had was a smart dog. Poppie is like having another kid around the house. She's the smartest acting dog I've had. When you can read their eyes and they yours, that's a pretty smart dog. She is great at that. Better than my wife lol. Yes it depends on the individual, but, you've got better luck with certain breeds for sure. Labrador's, German Shepherds, Aussie Shepherds have all been reliably not dumb for me. Goofy, yeah sometimes. Gotta keep those darn Shepherds far away from the grow room or deal with the endless hair......
Cool man Ime labs are like big kids playful smart but they take there time to mature pitbulls aren't so far off either but a lil less smart but assuming there socialised and the dog aggression trait ain't a issue there great dogs shame my country bans em pretty much even if there origins start over here currently here they gotta be registered and neutered n tatood and micro chipped and muzzled n on a lead in public etc so there rarer now here ime they can be a bit clumsy tho and yeah German shepherds should be pretty bright to very bright depending on the line as for Aussie shepherds they are a breed I don't think I've ever actually met in the flesh tbh I think you will find most of the herding type breeds are pretty sharp though anyway I will digress sorry for posting off topic folks

About 120g less than the last time I ran this. Having to dim the lights so low because of their height impacted the yield.
Aye letting things get too tall is a sore one we all been there mate just shows you the difference dimming the lights makes

Quality over quantity though. Maybe that 120g extra would have consisted of stressed or burnt tops.

I feel your pain on the too tall plant. I finally dropped my big plant down. It was getting to about 9 inches before I would raise it. This plant has taken it like a champ. Most times I'd burn the tops getting that close. It sucks having 1 plant a foot taller than the rest of the room.

I kept my stretch to 38 inches. Some of the very tippy tops got bleached white and I burnt a few leaves when my meter went astray. I could have ziptied the light to the tent roof. Overall, this tent is going to be very satisfactory. 8 weeks since flip today. They probably won't be around much longer.

I've a little nugget to share it's especially useful if you've a stretchy pheno or maybe over vegged a little.
They're all the same age only different hrs of dark/light.
Each hour = 7/8% of the day so that has to be allowed for it,s loss but with some advantages like faster into flower, shorter plants and yeah a 7/8% saving lol...
It's a better option than hitting the light, I think?

That really shows what you're saying. Thanks for this info. It makes sense if you think from the standpoint that outdoors by the time light gets that short, then, the plant acts as if time is short. It makes sense but I've never thought to try it. Until you posted this. I think my light has a 10 hr. timer setting. If so, I'll be using it. I have a regular timer somewhere if not. How does it affect weight at the end . I have tiny space so I only get to run small plants. I'm sure 10 hours of decent light to the lowers is better than 12 hours of shit light.

Topped 3x and butchered for way too many clones . 10 gallon fabric pots , coco coir/perlite mix . 8 weeks old . I Started with earth juice seablast grow , now being fed nectar of the gods . These pics are about a week old . Out of 19 7 of them are 6.5+ feet tall and the remainders are all between 5-6 ft . I grew the same genetics last year , and they yielded extremely heavy . The outdoor smoke in soil was beautiful light green , super dense , frosty as can be - skunky and earthy . It is by far my favorite strain to grow .
If we can pull 1lb per 10 gallon pot this year , I intend on taking cuttings around mid February / March 1st , and planting first week of may in coco again with 50 gallon grow pots with a target of 5lbs per plant . We’re still in veg , and probably have another week or two before they will bloom and stretch but I suspect these willl all be in the 8-12 ft range come September and snapping branches from the heavy gooey nugs
I know this “goal” is done in cali frequently and other states with lots of sunshine , but this is extremely difficult to pull off in northern ny “might as well say Ontario Canada “ , but we did manage to pull 3.5lbs last year in 50 gallons - and the formula was so basic it’s kinda crazy . Chicken manure , then bone meal , with some synthetic tiger bloom ,open sesame beastie blooms and cha ching
I’ll post back with some updated pics of these trees in a couple days , when this torrential downpour subsides
