I expected the two weeks vegging to have more of a impact tbh I feel there's something missing compared to other crops they've never really come on form and they should be now but they're not?

The apple tree is looking nice.

Hey bud, when I got it, it was already producing apples.

It wasn't kept in any way so there wasn't a huge amount of them.
I've never pruned anything but weed so it was chance to give it a go.

I'm pleased with this effort, one branch had two sub branches with all the shoots all too far from the tree imo, I cut the main branch back to the nearest shoot removed one sub branch and left a 6" stump on the other sub branch with a view to it sprouting some shoots?

Now that I'm seeing it frequently i can see better where it needs pruning next year.

It's enjoyable in that it's not extensive caring it's more leisurely.

Edit...Lol you can see the shoots I'd hoped for in the pic.

You can see the shoots are too far from the tree on that branch, what do you guys think?
