Happy Thursday. I mentioned the other day that a friend had lent me his press, an entry level Dulytek. Shit! Love it, no going back I expect, and good motivation to grow more, as I really don’t know the relationship between flower consumption and rosin, though my newly dried and cured bud seems to do pretty well. Ordered myself a Dabpress 8 ton. I can see the advantage of being able to press bigger amounts, but that’s the best I could justify. But the stuff is so nice…I know many of you knew that already, lol. I’ve dabbed before of course, but nothing like making your own.

I used Ocean Forest with 30% extra perlite for years and years until I started growing outside and built the dome GH. These days I buy the Roots 707 3 cu. ft. bags to save a bit of $$$ and find it is a decent product for the $$$.
I was a MegaCrap user for a bit there...but they kept waffling/changing their formula. Just when you'd get it all down you'd order a new bag and it would be completely different. Started out as a powder with white balls (N) in it. Then it went to all powder...kinda red looking. The last batch I got was again different...more grey...and it freaked me out when I mixed a bucket of it and there was a telltale oily sheen on the top of the water. I wrote the company asking why I was seeing such a thing and got a seriously condescending/nasty reply/was told I didn't know shit about growing weed. Okie Dokie. Thanks for letting me know. (yer ferts are dirty, dirty, dirty and you know it) It was some of the worst "customer service" I've ever encountered.
That was the last $$$ they saw from me. What does the formula look like now?1 part? 2 parts?

So this Saturday should be interesting. A bunch of us are doing a wine tour, then dinner, then a golf driving range.

This was my first press sesh. My second was/is prettier and more plentiful, but I didn’t get a pic before digging in. I know what you mean about the tolerance. Was actually thinking about that as I hit my third dab this morning, lol.

Nice. I like the way some of those (all?) models can be tipped on their side. I bought a Dulytek DW6000 years and years ago. It's a nice machine but it lacks versatility...say...if you want to press bubble hash. What it lacks, IMO, is a pressure adjustment...though you can adj temp/time and I've learned some workarounds over time.
Yes...tolerance goes up...but you won't be hitting that joint 50 times to finish it so there is that. Like smoking bubble hash...it's just so much cleaner overall.

Caught one in a lake when I was trout fishing with light line, that took awhile to get in. It was clear cold water and it got cooked up with beer batter, it was really tasty. Nailed it to a tree to skin it with a pair of pliers.
