When I was using the MC I bought the Cal-Mag or whatever it is and it was all balls. That's when I knew it was the N. The guy I got yelled at by wasn't happy when I told him I was separating those out to make a grow/bloom mix. His narcissism over his perfect product had him railing back hard. It was classic shit. I don't think he thought of such a thing...LOL. Der-duh.

I get that a lot of folks use it/are happy with it. It's why I tried it out. It's mindless...like most chem ferts. I just like to know what is in the mix I'm gonna eventually smoke. When he got pissed that I ask...I knew it was time for ME to change. Everyone has their gig. It all works. I just like to play/mix up wicked brews and shit when I can...LOL. I will/do use chem bloom boosters though...cus nothing hits like they do Organics can take forever to show results and there's only a small window in there (IMO) where things are beneficial. Otherwise yer just wastin nutes. I'm old and jaded though. Heehee...whadda I know?

This system is the newest, almost 3 weeks old. Should stretch for another week or so, but I hope it stops soon before they grow into the light.

DOH! I had to skim coat over my skim coat on my ceiling project because I used the wrong joint compound. Thankfully it looks good now with nothing but touch up to do. I wish the YouTube videos had stressed the problems with using hot mud for skim coating. I used it because it was on hand. I wasted days on this over that amateur blunder but I see the light at the end of the tunnel now.

TADA! Boring pics as promised. Unfortunately, I don't have a before pic but the difference is pretty stark.

The rounded cove ceiling below used to be a flat drop ceiling panel lighting with the shiny mylar-coated grid covering (10) 32 watt fluorescent bulbs. That was replaced with (1) indirect COB LED strip supplied with a 48 watt power supply. Saving on the electric bill!

I also added the spotlight on the work area in front of the bay window, an under-counter light strip, and two drop lights over the breakfast bar. A little less saving but I have light where I need it.

Painting and setting up the controllers on the lights to do yet but it doesn't look like a dingey outdated grandpa's kitchen anymore IMO. I'd change a few things if I had to do it over but I'm pretty happy with the results.
