TADA! Boring pics as promised. Unfortunately, I don't have a before pic but the difference is pretty stark.

The rounded cove ceiling below used to be a flat drop ceiling panel lighting with the shiny mylar-View attachment 5415290coated grid covering (10) 32 watt fluorescent bulbs. That was replaced with (1) indirect COB LED strip supplied with a 48 watt power supply. Saving on the electric bill!

I also added the spotlight on the work area in front of the bay window, an under-counter light strip, and two drop lights over the breakfast bar. A little less saving but I have light where I need it.

Painting and setting up the controllers on the lights to do yet but it doesn't look like a dingey outdated grandpa's kitchen anymore IMO. I'd change a few things if I had to do it over but I'm pretty happy with the resultsView attachment 5415300.
Oooh come do mine! Looks great

Very. @tyler.durden ...clone or seed? A hash makers dream.
All from clones. I hate pheno hunting through seeds, I've done it for six of my current strains over many years. The other six strains I have are from purchased clones. Now that I can buy winning clones online, I doubt I'll ever do seeds again. I made my first hash in years last week at a client's request, turned out really nice. I'm in the process of tumbling all my trim/popcorn to collect kief for hash, dabs, and butter.

Again...very, very nice work.

I'ma hearin' ya on the clone stock. I ran nothing but clones for decades but once I stopped growing commercially it became a pain in the ass to keep stuff going all Winter for Summer grows alone. I found out the first season that when ya grow outside you don't need to grow inside/waste the energy growing indoors. I have a nice bucket full of seed packs I had high hopes for...and maybe there's a keeper in there somewhere...but like you...I've spent far too much time looking for keepers and am trying out 9 different clones this year (along with some seeds that have performed well in the past). in the hope of finding something yummy.

Love is ... coming back to see this right in front of the laptop after running an errand for Mrs. S.:

She already left for tonight's "stitch & bitch" with her quilt guild ladies - and not long after I got back home from this errand, I saw the YUM on my desk.

Then I received a slightly giggling phone call from her saying "I am so glad you missed these two during the lollipop. Cause you now have a Honey-Do list for later". I had taken a few heavy things out to the car for her before I ran the errand. So as my thank you, she took one LARFY branch of each strain, clipped off the fans and nipped off the bud right in front of the laptop. I even get to start my testing sesh with a newly filled Onyx pipe!

I clearly made the right choice when I said "I do" back in 1983.
