Fastest way to grow and try a strain.

I want to try a 1:1 thc/cbd plant. Photoperiod plant.
If I put it in a small container, gallon or less can I minimize my grow time?
Basically want to grow one cola, like I have seen in some micro grows.

It can't flower until it's mature. It takes a couple weeks min. (Some people run seedlings on a 12/12 cycle because a seedling doesnt need a high DLI.) Usually in a reg veg cycle, maturity is expressed by the plant by having alternating nodes instead of side by side expression and also by 'preflowers' ---- just a calyx with a white hair popping out.

If you want to grow small plants look up sog. (Sea of green)
Just remember smaller plants don't need as high of an ec as bigger plants. There's a balance, it's not really easier to grow smaller plants. I'd actually argue it's harder in most cases.
It all depends on your medium as well. Eg: You can grow big plants in coco with small pots watered multiple times per day vs soil which a small pot wouldnt really work.... So it's not really a simple answer. Would need to know more about your grow before answering more definitively.
This style of growing can also help prepare you to grow auto flowers with better results. (Keeping everything ideal from the beginning)

cannabis has a certain age when she is able to grow flower.that is usually after 23 days for most strains.
if you want the biggest plant in lowest amount of days try airoponics, but if you dont have shit tone of money maybe DWC or in the end coco and soil

best way would be to buy a clone or make your own.clones are allaways as old as their mother soo basicly you could put it in soil and flower same day

I prefer to do some sort of hydro grow. I have some 3 gal, all pearlite hempy buckets cleaned up and ready to go. I bought the chunky pearlite.
I was hoping that the frequent nute replacement in hempy buckets would help keep things from getting off track on me.

RO water, still has a 80ppm. Been buying distilled.
I have a gallon of dyna gro foliage pro and a gal of protect.
Or basically all of the GH nutes. I want to keep it sterile if possible.

Don't know anything about the benificial organic additives, but have had terrible rootrot in dwc. Tried hydroguard. Temps too high I think.
I used a bit of bleach in the dwc bucket to clear it up. I also had to take the whole mess out side and wash the roots all clean with the hose.

I am using a 2x4 tent with a/c infinity controls on the environment and as 200watt spiderfarmer led.

Hard city water, leaves white deposits on everything it dries on. 180ppm.
I have tried to use it in the past and I always get weird issues.

So I only save veg time by flowering asap? Flowering takes the same amount of time no matter the plants size?

I live in the middle of the woods on well water, white deposits are from calcium build up.

Chlorine can be removed by letting it sit for 24 hours in an open container. chlorine evaps, can speed up the process a little by putting an air stone in it.

I know it sucks.... but yeh no matter what,

Like normally, I grow a plant 3-4 feet tall in 90 days. First 4 weeks are in veg..

SOMETIMES can.. and WILL cut this down to like 2 and a 1/2 weeks veg , if the plants look REAL strong, which sometimes happens when I get a nice hybrid with that weird genetic that makes it grow like King Kong's mother.
these below are on day 40 of flowering and 70 in total.

I've seen people do the "Solo Cup 16 oz Challenge"... That's interesting as hell to watch, and not impossible to do, plants end up stretched out to 2 feet tall in most cases, others get to unmanagable and bust the cups...

Probably would have good results with drilling small holes in to the sides of the cup all over and let the roots get air pruned. or even go and get one of those nice grow bags.

180 ppms isn't bad.........if you can drink it, so can your plants.
Flowering time takes the same amount of time regardless of the size of the plant.

Grow an Autoflower. Set your PPFD to around 450 and the light schedule to 18 /6.

They only take around 3 to 4 months from seed it done.

That's all I've been growing. :D

almost all of them take that time.... exception are the old sativas with long flowering time.but almost all modern hybrids take 50-80 days to flower and 20days to veg

if size is no problem do 24h first 20 days then switch to 12/12 and you should have the biggest plant with fastest flower you can manage allsoo dont top you will lose more than you will gain.just LST daily make it allways horisontal soo the side branches start growing.

You don't switch the light on an Autoflower. I run my autoflowers on 18/6 until done.

what does that have to do with faster growth?its gonna be done in the same time... if you think you will get more because you have more light rudentalis gene is famous for its small nugs soo genetically you have a weaker product just soo you can spend more electricity

why do you like the lack of control soo much?

I've grown autos that are done at 60 days...cotyledon to harvest. The cbd autos I've grown recently....Red Pure auto CBD from Sweetseeds were done in 65 to 70 days.

If your referring to this plant...trichs on calyx's were all cloudy with a small percentage of amber. The others I mentioned were also at about the same stage of maturity.
Have you grown an auto? They are a bit different than photos.20240801_110804.jpg
