There is less than a billion people in those 3 countries all told so how's that work? Not much over half a billion if that.
They must mean China, India and the US if they got every single person including infants and not just the billion maybe that actually use the internet.
Still, there's way too many data breaches going on all the time.

Grace Hopper was a Rear Admiral (lower half), had a Doctorate in mathematics from Yale, taught at Vassar, was part of the team that developed the UNIVAC I computer. She managed the development of one of the first COBOL compilers. She is credited with writing the first computer manual.

Experian found my ss# on the dark web a week ago. I put a fraud alert up for that.
A day later I got an email in my spam folder from some gmail addy that had my full name, addy, city and state written on it. Had a pdf attachment with my name on it. I blocked the sender and didn't click anything. Fishing scam with infected file you think?

I got an alert from AAA>Experian the other day that my SS, DOB, etc was revealed. This is from the massive data breach by National Public Data. No doubt they'll be a surge of penetration attempts by hackers in the coming months. Make sure you've established account(s) in any .gov or .mil especially ssa.gov/myaccount/ and irs.gov/your-account and have enabled MFA on these and any banking or investment accounts. Way back in the prehistoric dawn of the computer era, I was guilty of using the same password on many accounts, course now you can't do that. Haven't decided if I want to freeze my credit yet.

You know when this first came out I played around with it, not really impressed. Just these week I went back in and damn if: First, there's a bunch of these AI's out there; venice.ai/ (which isn't too bad) and perplexity.ai (so-so) and chatgpt.com which is still the leader IMO but I haven't got into Copilot or Gemini yet. The only thing I'm testing so far is a spreadsheet I've been keeping of my blood/lab results. Damn if GPT doesn't give me "better" and easier to understand answers than my PCP. At least it provides me with questions to ask him. Can't imagine what this will be like in 10 years. Quite a rabbit hole

Yikes. Intel's latest CPU microcode BIOS update supposedly fixes the voltage problems with their 13 & 14th gen CPUs that causes them to become ticking time bombs, but pretty much makes it run way slower than what you paid for according to the latest reports. Doesn't fix the damage already caused either. They blew it big time! They are basically forcing you to install updates that cause them run slower than the main competitors chips, so it doesn't self destruct. Probably will anyway though? They aren't being straight forward with the problems they had in the manufacturing plants while making the raptor lake chips either, or recalling any of the batches that were known to be bad. Some kind of oxidation issues in the die process.
I was about to buy one too, for a new gaming rig. Had a 13th gen processor loaded up in my cart, before reading all the latest news. Looks like I'll be building an older 12th generation, or AMD system instead..
