If you want to get this specific, it'll be time to read up on the taxonomic ranking for groups of organisms. Again, wiki is at your disposal if so interested. For the Coles notes version, capsicum is a genus in the Nightshade family, in which the pepper is a member of.I know Americans have normalised something that is incorrect again.
For the same reason most folks think the new millennium started on 1/1/2000.I am confused why you guys are calling chili's, peppers ?
The filius blue has done well with the transition. The aji charapita, not so much. Hahaha. Although it does have one small new growth trying to prevail. Finally cut my 2 peppers out of the beer cans they have been growing in the last year and put them in some Happy Frog. I'm looking forward to not having to feed them every single day in coco.

I grow that one as well. I can’t really tell a difference can you.Got some sprouts too, Tam jalapeno. I have a lot more varieties to start too!
Just quoting this post to let you know that H4 isn't happening. I had no seeds from this plant last season. I'm going to source some from Heirloom Seeds in Montreal since the other seeds I received from them seem pretty stellar. Unless, of course, somebody has a source in the Western Canadian area (AB or BC).Last year around this time I mentioned that I was going to seed this one, which was the 2nd from original. I'll call it H2

Here's the H3 version for this season. It's similar around the whole plant! I'll do this next year as well!

I got those transplanted, plus 10 mini sweets, three hatch and one each of cayenne, mammoth jalapeno f2 and f3. I'm giving mini sweets away, but still have blank spots for mp's, cay's and cubanelles.I moved my first three pepper plants out from under the lights today. One Mammoth Jalapeno f3 and two unknown pepper number 3 (which is the cayenne mj cross) A few days to harden off and they will go into the garden.
Those look deadly AF!This is what the black panther looks like when ripe. In the 1.1 million scoville range.
