How big should my container be for a outdoor grow. How many pounds of dirt do I need? Should I use fox farm for the whole thing or mix in cheaper top soil ? I'm thinking of buying 6 100 gallon mesh pot bags. Is this too big ? The dispensary sells a 3 gallon potter for there clones ( I'm going to germinate seeds in a starter plug for this one) or is this too small.

I grow outdoors and use 45 litre planter bags

The bigger the better. Might look into making own soil tho,ff is expensive. Buy some bales of promix and add good compost with kelp, lobster shells, chicken fertilizer, Earthworm castings. Maybe extra perlite. 20 gallon fabric pots are cheap and great might get bigger sizes for around 10 bucks or so.

I recommend plastic 20G garbage cans. Just drill some holes on the bottom and along the side for air circulation and drainage. Been doing it this way for 5 years now and are easy to move when needed. I always want to start them early but this year the didn’t start until May 4th, but still they are 5-8 feet tall and wide
