"Just pick it up at the airport parking lot and drive it back to my house, I'll be back in a week."

We had so much fun in that car. Drove it by all the hookers, drug dens we could find.
Everyone had a turn puking in it, lol.
My first car was a '78 Ford LTD II. I was 17 and just married, and I bought it for $400 from my parents for who never got to drive it. We owned 3 cars at different times growing up, but they were never driven by them, as they were both raised in NYC and never learned to drive. Anyway, this thing was a barely road worthy beast, biggest car I've ever seen irl. It was previously in a serious crash, so the entire front was sculpted out of Bondo. It had a grille that was a flat piece of sheet metal that someone gouged holes into, perhaps with a hammer and chisel. It looked like the A-Team threw it together. It used about a quart of oil every few days, and got about 10 mpg on the highway. It smoked like crazy, and the tires were totally bald. We thought it was funny to put a Casey train horn on it with an air compressor that was as loud as an actual train. I got pulled over a lot because it was SO ugly, and I got into several accidents in that thing. The police really should have impounded it. But to us it was an invaluable luxury, I'll never forget her. Good times...
