Wow just WOW.
New grower 2 weeks into my first popped seed and I must say the closeup of the LST has really cemented in my mind the fact that for max yields you need to have a plan. From the offset of the seedlings to fearlessly steering your stems and growth where you need them to go it shows you know your plants and how to grow cannabis
I hope to do the same in my 2.7x2.7x 63 and have a plan to steer and top in veg counter clockwise in my tent. I now understand how this works and hope to learn as I go.

Thanks for reading my journal! I'm glad you found the LST info helpful. It has been a learning experience for sure, having a plan does help.

Your training sounds interesting, hope you start a grow journal so I can follow along. O-H!

I have in fact I noticed yours today when I logged to update and you had just updated your which bumped yours up where I could see it.
Some of these journals are gold mines for data and some should be stickied. Others take you on a wild ride and 3 weeks before chop they stop. No closure.

They really are gold! And the community is just awesome, the people are the real gems.

Yeah those journals that just stop is such a heartbreak, no closure is the worst.

I subbed to your journal.

Day 103

We closed week 4 of flower strong and steady. I would say we're at the halfway point but I feel like these are going to be a heavy 10 weeks to harvest. I'm glad the Propagation Station is online because the 'Flower Blues' is real! It's uneventful and hands off for the most part. We will be performing a "heavy" selective strip next week(5). With all the rain from the tropical storms down south I have been only watering at lights on. The tech available allows you too see those spikes and make adjustments, love it! These HLG engines are kicking ass @approximately 140 watts each. The trichome production and structure is just beautiful. We're also going to introduce a new light engine for the Secret Chief run. Based on my observations we're tapped out on intensity for this particular cultivars. We average 41k lux across the canopy with a DLI of 31ish. I would love to invest in a proper light measuring tool, but I stress to anyone starting out....PRACTICE READING YOUR PLANTS! That's more important than the numbers when it's all said and done.

Really nice work. Love seeing the low wide canopy. I'm locked n loaded with floater screens all over the place..lol. Took 9.3oz off that Tangie prob loose an oz or so when fully dry but I'm good with that.

That's a great harvest! Yeah the floater screens are genius. This next run will be challenging because I'm looking for the SFVOG leaner. I know when I get through my catalog of cultivars, there won't be anything I can't train!

I have a SFV OGbx3 running. Culled one which was a big plant but I took large clones. So if they root fine. If not I'll pull a few in flower from the other.

Salvaged her sister. She's slowly coming back into veg. I'm going to throw her in flower soon. I've never started one in flower this early in the reveg stage...see what happens. Could be a mess. Could be a big ass budding psychedelic mind bender as well. I just dunno. Never grew it or tried any but I love a good sativa.

I spend my early life in Meigs Co. Family in Pomeroy. Up in Cleveland area now.

Training really is the way to maximum light where it counts. I use floater screens to get a plant to fill a 2x2 space with every square foot of the canopy all exposed to the LEDs. Your on the path to some nice buds with your mindset. I run lst, hst, supercropping, and monster clones. Then I throw on a floater screen. A twisting and cavorting we go....

After kicking around the way SF selects his plants for this type of training I am wondering how much the culling process allows this type of aggressive training. He basically chose 6 prime athletes ( genetics ) and set them against each other. The winner gets his head chopped off then onto the rack for some fine stretchies!
I am going to try this system until I get it correct. LST in a 1/2 circle to fill the tent up with 2 plants. If it works on my #1 bucket but not #2 ( struggled as a seedling ) I will know that the selection and cull are part of the plan.

Sounds like a plan. Work it like a boss.

Day 15

These fine young plants are loving life. Very happy with the growth and vigor being demonstrated. I'll be top dressing them tomorrow for the first time. I may hit some with all purpose 444 then others with the veg blend 463. The xs1000 at 75% is doing its thing. The flowering light for these will be built this week. We just cruising!

Day 110

We're beginning week 6 of flower and these ladies are packing it on! Last week I plucked maybe a handful of leaves, not much. Sometime this week I'll go through very thoroughly and plucked any sucker flowers. Really impressed with the genetics, @MIRedBuds did an excellent job. If you don't know the BOO, is literally a BAG OF ORANGES! It's almost sickening how much orange is there. The FMFX is very unique CITRUS MARKER funk, like those ones we had in school (early 90s). We did kick it up a notch with intensity, both engines are at 160 watts. We average 45k across the top canopy, 765 to 810 PPFD which gives a DLI of approximately 33. They're happy so far, I'll bump it again in a week if I see they can take it. I wrote down 11/15 for harvest, so I'm thinking this is a solid halfway point. Let's go!

Looking awesome in there! I've been watching you and @Fatjoe observing your manipulation techniques. This is my first few grows in a tent, and I'm learning how to maximize the canopy.
You are doing great work!

Appreciate it brother. This is my first time actually training properly and couldn't be happier! I broke some shit early on and later! But overall it's worth every mistake. @Fatjoe is a beast with the training and his floating trellis!

Yes this is going to be challenging! I've been a fan of Bodhi and the SFVOG is my wife's favorite strain. I'm hoping for at least 2 females but I'll take one. I'm thinking I'll be alternating between regs/fems for the next 5 cycles.
Im going to make some SFV OG fems and some regs. The original beans im working with are from Cali Connection. I acquired a few dozen seeds from a breeder in SFV back in 2013. Pretty sure its an IBL at this point.

I will toss a few your way. :blsmoke:

Watching these BOO grow makes me wanna crack mine. I'm sure I will this winter.

Can't ask for a better looking grow. Rockin the house in there. Your really nailing down some some solid good growing habits.

@FmSwayze that pic you posted in your dirt thread of under the canopy is impressive. That early training really pays off. Can't get that kinda growth without manipulation.

My plants prob hate to hear the zipper everyday. They know what's coming for at least 6-8wks of their life..lol
I've not heard one scream yet so onward we go.

Love seeing the training. It'll definitely increase your yield with some solid bud.

I just harvested my first official floater scrog. I'm having a blast trying to figure out the flower time training on these. They definitely make a grow easy to spread out and saves time.

Instead of growing the plant into the screen. Ya let the screen grow with the canopy. I keep tweaking as I go. Having fun and learning.

I've got some of those Cali Con SFV OG beans too. I like some of their stuff. I'm growing the shit out of, Boss Hogg, a Chem 91 BX from them.
