The NL5 Haze was a female that I grew and selected, it was the 'sativa' version of Swami's NL5 Haze F5 line.
Jetfuel Gelato x Dirt Stick F1-
So far terp profiles are nearly identical across all the phenotypes. Plus or minus a few undertones but its basically all the same. Dirt Stick forward with the Gelato starting to elevate in the mix. The Gelato terp takes a little while to get going so I suspect more Gelato to come. The Gelato I do detect is blended in with a nice pepper spice note. Really complex and interesting. From a structure perspective the clear winner is the big momma of the bunch. Big ole bush and a great bud structure. 12/12 from seed.

You are welcome! When we have a surplus of tester strains (or just some beans we know are bangers) you can be sure we are eager to give them out. Since we operate at a smaller scale than some of the others we know we wont be able to explore everything so our hope is that if we don't get to it first -- someone else might -- and they may be super happy with what they found -- which will move us to explore it and make selections sooner. Such was the case with our Squirt Sak that we're working now.
Looking forward to hearing/seeing what you think about those beans in the future.
It's a great business model that can only serve you well. Ill be running your gear quite a bit this year, thought I had it all planned out but you blew that up in one swell foop. I'm happy to be able to help by sharing notes. I didn't get a squirt sake but jet fuel gelato's already on the tarmac... Some Garies too because they were literally sprouting in their pants

When I delved into the genetics and sources of the parents of the seeds I was sent I found them to be very interesting . It's going to be very hard choosing what to start first !
Doing the same over the past few years with dozens of breeders has led me to believe that it's often the smaller less known breeders who offer some very desirable genetics . Freak , Eso , Antenna , 1212....

I feel the same. Lots of diversity in the genetics here. Purple mountain and redbag seem a little undersold but the stardawg makes me want to czech them out. I've got an Lsd f3 that I've been looking for a mate for that I'd love to see matched with dirtstick.

I am actually really interested in Antenna, been peeping him on strainly for a while - the blueberry strain has my attention.
I had mentioned this at the start of the exploration but wanted to share a quick update. Along for the ride is a King Kush Breath v2 clone. Dropped her in as a rooted clone right into 12/12. Shes keeping a good pace with the Jetfuel Gelato x Dirt Sticks. Doing it this way kept her small enough to do a pollination and get a smoke report. She got dusted up so there will be some testers available of her in future giveaways that we do here on RIU.

Nice, I was hoping this would show up in the rotation soon. I've been wanting to grow it for a while... I've got a couple Dirty lil Garies showing their first set of leaves after like two days out of the nappy. The root out of the shell grew faster than any I've ever seen. Usually after a couple days I open them up and its a cute little tail. Gary was not fucking around with like five inches lol. Ive also got a cute little tail on a couple Jet Fuel Gelato x Dirtsticks. Oddly these took about four or five days to pop. Anyone have this experience with their own? By tonight they'll be in their comfy new cup homes with the nice burbling sound of water beneath them.... Here's a look at whats going on in a few of my tents at the moment, mostly exploration and a little bit of chuckin'
Two 'Meatballs' females (Meatbreath x Squirt Sak) - Compact, uniform, consistent growth, Less than a foot tall with tight inter-nodes, heavy Squirt Sak Citrus terp influence so far with a twinge of tortilla terps from the Meat Breath. They both need a good cleaning up of the lowers and have been lightly dusted by our 'Balls of Fire' male (Dante's Inferno X Squirt Sak).
In another tent I am running through the last of our "Pap Cak" (Papayahuasca X Cackleberry) Chuck from a few years back, a decision I do not regret. The papayahuasca really infiltrates every expression of this cross in a positive way, the terps range from fruity perfume to Cake with gas. Flower to leaf ratio seems pretty good.
This one is more papayahuasca on the terps, the fruity perfume with a gas, shorter thicker hairs
While this one is more of a mix with the Cackleberry fusing to make some cake vibes and a more sturdy structure, longer thinner hairs

Of the 7 female sample we have a good read on what the common phenotypes are. THT and myself are in agreement that this strain is a banger. Final verdict is the the smoke report as we want to be as objective as possible. A handful of people have popped these seeds so we will have more 3rd party data that isn't directly from us to confirm.
We are confident that these testers will not disappoint. The remaining stock of these F1s will be offered as 12/12 phenohunt specials in 2025 at a discounted rate until stock runs out. We are a small shop and our projects will take some time to complete compared to larger operations. So these will be available for those with a burning interest. Only a few more testers of these are available in 2024.
The two common phenotypes are broken down as follows:
Large: These large phenos are best in show. Yield, speed and structure couldn't get any better and most importantly the terps are the perfect union of the parents in a way that takes it to a new level. This is clearly the breeding direction forward we intend to focus on.
Medium: The medium phenos are more common and lean into the Jetfuel Gelato direction but with a subtle twist of Dirt Stick. They are basically Jetfuel Gelato. This is our final farewell with her and we couldn't have paired her with a better tent companion to pass her genes on. Squirt Sak F3 gave her a HEAVY pollination. The entire tent is for the Squirt Sak F4 that we will be offering. Seeing a lot of great things in the Squirt Sak btw. We have bred Squirt Sak in a direction that leans towards citrus and less Kwazulu leaning phenotypes over filial generations. We can validate for certain that in the F3s, the citrus has evolved into what THT would say is a lot of Cali-O/Tangie terps with a twist and underlying it all is the Kwazulu uniqueness. There is one outlier phenotype that is a candy apricot terp and a sharp Kwazulu note that blends together so well.
When we get to a fem round of Squirt Sak a selected mother from that outlier pheno will be what we use to find the chosen one to reverse.
There will most certainly be testers of Tropicana Cookies x Squirt Sack that will be given as either freebies with purchases or as part of our giveaways. This cross is high up on my list of things to explore.

Another really interesting thing to note about Jetpack. Even the lowers are stacking! Normally I do a lot of cleanup on the lowers but for evaluation runs I let it all flop lol. Its a solid bio-mass overhead so its not like a lot of light is getting through!
