Are auto strains easier to grow & manage & stable & more successful in general
No there harder than photos as you can't make any mistakes as there's no wiggle room they on a fixed schedule they also take less water and nutes something new growers often do is love a plant to death I think with autos that's easier to do honestly I think all new growers should start with photo period plants after a few runs once you feel you got it down then try autosAre auto strains easier to grow & manage & stable & more successful in general
Wow man that's cool honestly I'm so pumped rn I've never tried autos ye I hear dat let the autos do it themselves lol I'm not bothered about how much I yeild as it's all about discovering an amazing strain for me btw what strains are you trying?I started with Autos and really haven't had any issues on my first grow, at least nothing that Photo's don't get as well. Had a slight nute over load but corrected on one and she is fine. The rest did what they do grow like weeds! My decision to go autos is I don't have the time to donate for the veg/flip/flower, I don't want that I want them to get to where I want them to be on their own right now. I will attempt some photos down the road, but I like the ease of autos and the 8 to 10 week harvest. I am only growing for myself so not really caring what my yield is, I'm happy with 3 to 6 oz per plant, so far I'm at 3 on 1, and 1.5 and half to cut yet on another and 2 more coming due mid-Nov that show more flower sites with much larger and fatter colas. Whatever you decide is up to you at this point. Good Grow.
So far I have harvested a Wedding Cake Auto, and Mac1 Auto (just finished her today) I am waiting on a Cookies variant (unsure what variant) as this was a freebie and also a Train Wreck Auto. Mac-1 showed some Nute burn and then a deficiency very close to harvest, so I just let her be until cut. The rest showed slight nute burn but all have stayed very green, lush and bountiful.Wow man that's cool honestly I'm so pumped rn I've never tried autos ye I hear dat let the autos do it themselves lol I'm not bothered about how much I yeild as it's all about discovering an amazing strain for me btw what strains are you trying?
I like autos for the variety and time window. Will just add that I don’t think 8 to 10 weeks is realistic most of the time. They almost always go 90 days or more. I’ve never had an auto truly ready to harvest in 70 days. Grown around thirty of them now.I started with Autos and really haven't had any issues on my first grow, at least nothing that Photo's don't get as well. Respect the grow decision! I will eventually try some photos, just now trying to see what other changes I want to make in my process, plus I have a boatload of Auto varieties in the collection. Looking at Auto Pots to simplify things a little more. Have a great grow on anything you want to grow!If you can't control your light then autos are the way to go. Otherwise I think photos are just as easy and more profitable.
Really the main difference between the two is veg cycle. An auto's veg cycle is genetically predetermined, usually between 2 to 4 weeks. With a photo you choose. In most modern hybrids the flowering time is the same for autos or photos, 8 to 12 weeks for fully ripe buds.
To me it comes down to 3 things. With photos I can control the veg time and thus the size of the plant better. 2, There is a better selection of photo seeds. 3, It's easy to make clones.
I beg to differ, I have had auto strains that outshined photos in terms of medicinal help, the very reason I grow them, quick, effective medicine that can be harvested every 1-2 months. Not med worthy
Are auto strains easier to grow & manage & stable & more successful in general
Autos are great just don't stress them, easier said than done! Photoperiod are great also i have a place for both in my garden. I like autos for all the mentioned reasons. Best thing no light leak issues! If you want a good yeild grow as many as your tent/room allows, canopy management is crucial thats where photoperiods have the upperhand. As far as potency goes ive found autos are up there with their cousins strain dependant of course and letting them mature properly. Gotta love opening that tent and seeing all the different colours and aromas. Are auto strains easier to grow & manage & stable & more successful in general

I grew my autos the same as I did photoperiod except that I could give them a lot more light in flower. Autos will handle DLI of 70 or 80.How safe is it to lst auto strains ?
