Letting the soil dry up

These plants had started flowering no more thank four weeks ago. I overwatered them last week and they stopped praying like they were before. It’s been a couple of days now without water. I’m thinking maybe the center could be too damp, so I’m letting them dry out more. Do they look okay? They are still quite heavy. The temp is about 85 and the RH is around 65 with a fan constantly sucking air out the top. I was thinking of reversing the fan to blow air inside, but am scared of mold!

Are you growing in soil or coco?

Many growers recommend bottom watering for those fabric containers. Let them absorb water from the tray they rest on.
Hey! Im growing in soil. Thank you. I have been watering from the bottom but I guess the last few times, i let them soak way too much water. Just watered them again tonight by filling up a small tub with ewc tea and let them soak it up. I watered the top of the soil a bit as well. This is my first time flowering plants. They are perking back up a bit.

The plants look pretty healthy. Keep up the good work.

How much water are you giving them. And what size of pot are they in?

I haven’t been measuring the amount of water I give them. I’m going to measure it this next watering. They were feeling lighter at the end of every day at lights off, so that’s when I would water them thoroughly. I believe maybe the waterings were too heavy and too often. They are in 3 gallon pots with Mother Earth groundswell soil amended with fresh ewc (there were plenty of worms in the castings as well). And I gave them some espoma garden tone, about 2 tsp each a week ago now. Would the soil drying out be bad? It seems that a lot of the lower foliage has died off after the plants dried up and wilted.

Yea best to measure! 3 gallon pots usually get 1/2 a gallon for me. Could be a little more if it’s a really large plant.

You ideally want to keep your soil within moisture window. It’ll keep the all microbial life more active.

The lowest foliage will sacrifice itself to produce new foliage or buds incase of drought
