The reason you use pcv and not flex duct is the airflow resistance of smooth wall pcv is very low. There are websites that can explain and even have data on resistance per foot and for a 45 or 90 turns. So I was thinking about exhausting the way you mentioned and I’m wondering if having the fan sucking air on the bottom and exhausting it at the top via the duct is as efficient as just having the exhaust up top. With the humidifier hose not far from the fan, would it not just suck the vapor right out and not allow for it to flow around like it would if the exhaust was up top? For my small veg tent, the fan is intaking air up top, and blowing it on to the light. The winds are moving the leaves around, maybe too much. I believe the vent with screen at the bottom is allowing a slow exhaust and also a bit of intake of cold air.
In addition your idea has merit but for a short part of your grow. Early on you need air movement but want to save humidity. Later you want air movement and move humidity out.
Here is how we do that.
Once you get deep into veg and into flower and the plant is supplying the humidity just remove the duct work at the top of the pvc and put an insect screen and boom top exhaust.
