Down potting

I have a plant that was outdoors this season, I brought it to an unfinished, what I call indoor outdoor room, to finish flowering and avoid theft this fall. So I left a few lower branches with buds and put the light on 24 hrs at harvest, and she has started to come back into the light, so to speak. But it’s getting mighty cold out there in that in uninsulated unsealed room.
the plant is in a 40 gallon container that it’s been in since June 1st of this year, how would you go about down potting and what size would you go to while she is in such a fragile state? Or would you suggest getting a friend and moving the whole 40G into the house!? Not opposed to that idea, but I’d like to save the effort if possible.

Its not fully revegged yet ripping the roots not a good idea right now. Bring it in with help get it back to normal growth then clone an prune the roots. An get some ipm ready its most likely got some sort on bugs on her.

Yessir, I’ve given her a few sprays for mites and thrips last week before the temperatures dropped, I have some different stuff for once I get her inside and cozy.
Thank you for the advice, I kinda had a feeling that getting chopped was strike 1 and revegging strike 2 and then transplanting would be strike 3 in plant stress baseball lol
Also I apologize for the state of my unfinished mudroom turned grow room is a staging area for the larger construction project going on indoors…not ideal

What are the actual temps where it's at now? Unless it gets below freezing you could probably just let it reveg there and take the cuttings inside when it starts vegetative growth again.

Outside it was 25 degrees Fahrenheit last night, I’m guessing 30-35 in where it’s at, maybe 40 with the light 24 hours but definitely no more than that, in a week it will be in the teens some nights

I could get it sealed in a little more and I have a scoche more insulation, maybe a space heater to spare, and I would like to leave it there honestly, I have other things to do with my indoor space for sure.
